I don't understand that TTD is still played so much. It's a classic of course and I had a lot of fun with it in the early days (I never got to downloading stuff) and I even got the original Transport Tycoon DeLuxe (World Editor Edition) but it doesn't work.

A few weeks ago I tried to download a few patches to let it run on XP until now without succes, so I gave up. Probably because I know that when it works I will play it for maybe 1 or 2 days and then go back to Loco.

TTDPatch and OpenTTD both give more features than Locomotion.

That right there is your problem! The world editor edition is plain ol TT. You want TTD, with the patch. Get the windows version from this list, and then get the TTDPatch from here.

Alternatively, get the windows version, then get OpenTTD. (I link to the installer edition because it may be easier[/url].

Then revel in the features.

Thanks a lot. It worked !!

I can play TTD to. But I really have noticed that I was out for a long time, because I can't remember how all this was be done. I think I start up from scratch again. But is there a place where you can download all those new station, cranes, trains, trams etc etc etc.

After a long vacation and being busy with work i notice a lot of activity in regard to stations on the forum. Perhaps my stations can contribute there? I still have a lot for coding purposes...
Especially my platforms and add-ons there... i noticed that Aegir used a bit of the dutch platforms drawn by Jezulkim. And i noticed a slight copy of the waiting cabins from me there too...
Perhaps nice to use my cabins on my platforms?

Anyways no harm done...

What's this that I have copied?

The platforms were drawn by Purno and Singaporekid, with due credit, everything else is from my own hand. Those original platforms were offered to me by Singaporekid a very, very long time ago. The beginings for the city stations I am working on now started at roughly the same time aswell. Since way before you joined the forums.

The only artists I have ever worked with on stations are Sanchimaru, Arte Pro34, Cornelius, Born_Acorn and DanMacK. I worked with Jezulkim a bit, but he went his own way with his graphics as I had no use for them in my set.

I know you meant no harm, but watch your accusations.

Edit: Oh, and Astath, I've worked with him quite a bit.

I believe those shelters were originally mine, possibly edited by Singaporekid, and now in Aegir's hands :]

I guess Caelen also drew shelters which looked the same :P

Yes, indeed, the shelters were drawn by Purno, if I remember correctly they had a flat roof and different supports, Singaporekids version used different support poles and had a different roof entirely, he then tried drawing some other designs that for various reasons didn't work out entirely.

Now, about me coding, I don't know if I will get around to coding these, I like the artwork so-far, sans the texture/shading on the larger station buildings. It's more a matter of trying to squeeze them in around the rest of my projects.

I am most likely overreacting, but without further explanation from Caelan regarding his previous post, I almost feel discouraged from coding the set entirely.

Yeah, I am probably overreacting, I've had difficulties with females today, puts even the best of us in a bit of a sour mood...

I guess Caelen drew shelters too which looked alike.

SOrry about my reaction then, it was just that i thought you used a bit of my set already. Never mind my comments though (and my late comment is due to my work sadly)

Anyway, lets just get it going on, no one is benefitting from argueing so i will just wait and see what it all brings! :)

So no offensen ment and i take it that none are taken. Lets get back to drawing and coding.

About my set, all comments before you start coding are welcome, please pm me for that...

The building looks a bit flat IMO... Maybe it's too bright as well. It looks a it has been sand-cleaned ('zandstralen' wtf is that in english). I'd expect a more dark coating from the heavy air pollution over time.

edit: I've noticed that with most of your stations. They don't look bad at all. Au contraire! They look fantastic! But also a too 'clean'. Maybe you should consider more 'random' darker pixles in the brick-parts.
