I mean, we usually knew what new features were appearing in the next patch, i.e. maps for 1.6 or pistons for 1.7

Re: Minecraft
Has anyone thought of doing a TT-Forums Minecraft server?
Sorry is already mentioned.

I believe several of us use Sacro's server, but that's not a 'tt-forums' server exclusively..

Right, let's see who can guess what I've been trying to work on here...
And some other little screenshots from buildings and little things I've built at random.
Mountain retreat with a Norwegian Flag. Just to make it look cooler. Some towers and buildings I put together to pass the time. From left to right:
Half-built Orbital Friendship Cannon Beam (waiting on v1.2 to make it bigger), Wizard Tower, Sky Tower (one of three), buildings in background built by other people in the game.

I don't know why but I thought Ion Cannon at first then realised that isn't an Ion Cannon.

Re: Minecraft
Well I've been playing around on Technic Pack. Still messing around on creative trying to get the hang of things and what stuff does.
So far, this is the setup I have for mining and storage. Took a while to make it work properly but it all functions pretty smoothly!
Only problem is figuring out what to do with everything. I had to make all the ingots into blocks because there were so many filling up the chests!
The quarries go right out to sea. The reason behind this is so they are out the way and don't make obvious ugly holes in the landscape. That's all concealed by the sea. Another plus is that if the quarry hits lava, it's instantly turned to Obsideon and mined up on the next through.
Each quarry is powered by two electrical engines which are fed by 6 solar panels each. However, I've recently worked out what conductive pipes do which is going to be a lot easier to transport power from the main production area.
Diggy Diggy Hole.
Under the water looks quite strange. But at least it's not littering the landscape like that instead.

(What the hell is wrong with uploading today? It's taken me nearly an hour to do all this!)
For those who don't know, Iron, Copper, Tin, Silver, and Gold ores can be macerated down into dust and then smelted into ingots. One ore will create two dust. One dust will create one ingot. This way, you can get double the amount of ingots for the ore you dig up! Very handy if you need it.
The ores are fed in from the left side and split up into one of the 5 lines - Iron, Copper, Tin, Silver, and Gold.
The ores then go into a rotary macerator which grinds them down into dust incredibly quickly. The macerators are constantly powered and switched on so they retain their top speed.
After that, the dust's are dropped into a storage chest and then pumped further along. The reason for the storage chest is encase I need to stop the line further down. Things can just drop into there and wait.
The dust's are dropped into an induction furnace which runs at 100% heat and power all the time and smelts each dust in less than a second. The ingots are extracted and fed back into the main pipe line again and sent down to the second-stage separation area.
Below the building is where most of the sorting happens. Clay is smelted into bricks in a couple of induction furnaces and then into brick blocks with an automatic crafting table. The brick blocks are fed back into the system for sorting and storage.
This was just after I completed the new transport pipe and storage areas so there's a lot of stuff running around the pipes.
And finally, the storage area. A room full of alchemical chests. Putting ingots into blocks really helps here since before they all filled up the chests too quickly. Still not sure what to do with everything though.

Jesus f*** christ, that is some mental stuff there Geo. I hadn't checked out the Technic pack yet but looking at this I'm quite sure I'll understand absolutely nothing it does.
Oddly enough, after spending some time with Terraria, King Arthur's Gold and even a game of good old Infiniminer I found myself drawn back to Minecraft once again, and mainly because I saw one update which mentioned different coloured wood planks for every kind of tree. Now *that* is my kind of update.

It's certainly pretty crazy indeed! I'm still trying to get to grips with things
Most of the basics I learnt from watching Yogscast's technic pack videos. They are pretty handy in finding out what's in the pack and how things work.

Re: Minecraft
They are going to remove forestry from the Technic pack.
Guess who will be doing it manually form the 1.2.5 update.
