Bob's Random British Vehicles (v0.8.2 relased - 31/5/11)
v0.8.2 - fixed the naming bug
V0.8.1 - This is a bug fix release to ensure compatibility with latest versions of OTTD. However Ive snuck in an Optare Volvo bus and some real world liveries for the DAF95 courtesy of Leanden.
Should heading fruitwards in a few minutes...
Cheers

These look pretty nice! Are you planning on extending the set much? More vehicles like this can only be a good thing.

Re: Bob's Random British Vehicles (v0.6.1 relased)
Great set, but there's one thing that bugs me...
What is it with these purple windows cropping up everywhere? They look really ugly IMO. Window coour should be mauve.
Thanks,
Jake

Sorry about that - I quite like the windows...

Re: Bob's Random British Vehicles (v0.6.1 relased)
I've been enjoying this set, but do they use the Toyland sound effects? I was wondering if this was intentional or whether it's a bug with the GRFs I have installed. Getting the squeaky horn or spring noise when they start moving spoils the atmosphere a bit. If this is only a problem I'm having I'll investigate a bit and see if I can find out what might be causing it.

I can definitely say that the GRF doesn't specify ANY sounds. However the ID's used are those from the toyland vehicles which is probably where the problem lies. I could change al the ID's but perhaps there is a quicker way?
Personally I always play with the sound off so hadn't noticed

might be because of the space in the filename...?

Can't help but feel the optare solo has a rather flat nose compared to reality.

I think you are probably right - but a curvy front is challenging when you've got 3px to play with
