Edit:
Oghh... silly me! Of course "My trucks are released under GPLv2"
Thanks! :D

Heh, I guess.
Gaaah, yeah. Sorry. And thanks.
Anyway, I have no idea what sprites this is actually about. And CC mentioned working with someone else.
Basically it's all about this set.
But shouldn't there be some sources available, technically, for it to be truly GPL?

Yep, that's the next major issue. There appear to be some sources available for some of the earlier trucks, but in essence that issue needs some attention.

That gets me confused as heck. Need some help for better understanding what source is this about and what I need to do

Assuming you didn't draw those png files as they are now but rendered them from some 3d program, the .blend files (or similar) are the sources for those png. Additionally if you used anything else to process those blender files to the final png files that should be included too.

Yes but where I should upload those .blends? If in repository - is there a specific place for source files(and where is the upload button)? I think something must have changed over those months... ?(
I will hang out here on the weekend so I can try to sort it out

Admittedly this is something that should be covered in the wiki, but isn't. Check out this post, for example, for some more information on point #1.

As for the "how" part, well, although there have been updates to the repo, it hasn't actually changed with regards to how you operate it. To upload files you select a category and put the repo in edit mode, that gives you the upload form at the bottom.

The correct place for source files these days is right in the same tar with the sprites, in a directory called sources/. And that tar should only contain one vehicle. That would make it a standard tar, and even a finished one, if there are sprites for all zoom levels.

Though if you want to just hit & run, then upload the source package(s) as a .zip, in the source type, into the same category as the sprites. The shuffling stuff around described above then has to be done by an admin.

Don't problem, ZIP your Blend files and upload it. The files can be ordered latter. :D

I recently noticed the 32bpp graphics for OTTD and wanted to try to make something with Blender. I found the tracker for graphics and decided to make the 1x1 counry house as it was unclaimed. I have been playing around in Blender for some time but my 3D skills still arent too good, but I'm still happy with the result. If you like the model I was hoping someone with better texturing skills would texture it and my texturing skills are horrible. The textures I used for it were just some random textures I found on my computer. The model is still not ready as it need windows, doors and other decoration. I tried to base the model on this house. http://wiki.openttd.org/Image:Modernhouse.png
I would like to get your ideas of what should be added or changed.

It looks interesting. Try to use a better fence texture, and use a more rounded shape.

Thanks. I only intended to use those textuses as reference of what it might look like. After I work on it some more, could you code it so we could see how it looks ingame?

The second version is a big improvement. Perhaps the shade could be toned down just a notch, particularly in all but the closest zoom sprite. Otherwise the space between the 1st and 2nd structure will appear almost pitch black. Also, despite you'd rather someone else do the texture work, I'll say the building's wall could use a less monotonous texture, perhaps a brick pattern or a noisy texture imitating a plastered surface. Finally, I would add some red details to balance the green / blue (gray) surfaces, such as a garden pump and perhaps a bicycle resting against the wall.

Quite so :-) Additionally to what Jupix said I'd propose to try another texture for the wall around the garden. Now it lools like a green wall of polished marble or alike: it's shiny and incredibly smooth. My favourite would be one which imitates a hedge, thus much more irregular and noisy. Alternatively some irregular stony texture in a then more grey-ish style would also fit.

I agree that the texture for the house wall is not the best one. I tried to find a white wooden texture for it but after rendering it, it appears to be much more gray.
I'll try to do something for the hedge wall thing, and I'll make a garden pump too.
Finding someone to do the texuring would be nice, but I don't know anyone who could do it.

The texture I used for the walls was very similar to the first one you posted but after rendering it, it turned out quite gray.
As Jupix suggested I'm going to use a brick pattern for the walls and replace the hedge with some kind of stone texture as Planetmaker suggested.

Here is the new version with brick walls and stone wall instead of the hedge wall. I also added the pump but I don't know how well you can see it.
I don't know what to do with the shade as I'm using the default Blender setting for OTTD.
