- Introduction of Class 172s on London Midland Snow Hill, Chase and Bromsgrove Lines, replacing 150s.
- Introduction of Class 172s on London Overground, replacing 150s.
- Introduction of Class 172s on Chiltern Railways, replacing nothing and providing a net stock increase.
- Full introduction of Class 378s onto London Overground, replacing 313s
- Gradual introduction of Class 380s onto Scotrail Glasgow suburban?
- Gradual introduction of 2009 Stock on the London Underground Victoria Line (some late-night services are already operated by 2 sets)
Sorry, thought that i might add that the 313s are displacing 377s on the Brighton Express service
I saw two units im betweem some mk3's at willesden jcn the other day
Very much a retired regular poster..... If you can say that

Nothing from Willesden Junction goes to Brighton anyway! East Croydon yes, (still operated by 350s?) but not Brighton anymore. Secondly the Brighton Express = London Victoria/Bridge to Brighton fast, not the trundling round Kensington Olympia!
Any opinions expressed are purely mine and not that of any employer, past or present.

Hopefully the Swedish government has learned how not to privatise the railway system by watching the British...
Certainly. Regular public transport is handled by local companies as it has been for a long long while - the same bus pass will give me access to every metro and every commuter train in the Stockholm region. If I am to go to, say Gothenburg, I still use SJ (lit. transl. The State's Railroads) and buy a one-way ticket to wherever I am going.

They are going to the east and west coastway routes , although mostly the east coastway apparently between Brighton and Eastbourne. Also apparently some of the 3 car southern 377s are going to London Overground as well, although I'm not sure how that will work since they are only 3rd rail? (although they do have space for a pantograph!)

The UK system was based on the Swedish model, which separated trains and infra in 1988....
