How to pause/unpause game?

I am wondering how do you pause/unpause the game because I want to play all those scenarios.Please help me!

Please refer to the attached image below:
1. Use this button to pause the game. Note that it will only pause ... it will not save your game.
2. Use this button to save your game after you have used the first button to pause it. Later, when you wish to return to your game, select Load Game from the start screen and select one of the games that you have saved.

I do not have that button.I have TTDPatch 2.0 rev 1.

Which button ... #1 or #2?
Those buttons are part of the basic TT Deluxe and they should both appear in all versions of TTDPatch. If one of them is missing, please specify which one or provide a screenshot.

Then you don't have TTD. Nor TTDPatch. Nor OpenTTD.

Or you play in fullscreen mode and the resolution has changed, so the buttons are out of your desktop. Try the automated recalibration (sometimes called "i-key") if you have a TFT.
