Great these then-and-after shots! They impress me a lot. By the way, I see that also you like to draw maps (I saw the Schlieren tramway map), they can be very useful!

Very true, I like to do them too. So far, I have not done one for my current game, mainly due to the fact, that the new MS office is giving me the sh*ts. What software do you use to draw your maps? is it paint?

Oops, didn't notice. Next ones will be .png again. Thanks for pointing it out.

I use Photoshop. Of course I don't draw just TT maps; I draw also maps of real rail network, see for example this map of Padova, my hometown.

In the meantime, some additional shots, this time something else.

I present, a new line created for heavy paper only trains. The Paper is hauled down to the station by lorries and then loaded onto these trains, 14 tiles long, 800tons of paper.

Picture 1: The station, three trains will run the service.

Picture 2: The first service runs accross the bridge, crossing another freight only line.

Picture 3: Climbing up the mountains, crossing yet another freight line, this one brings the wood to the paper factory.

We follow our 800tons of paper further.

Picture 4: undercrossing the express pax line to St. Helens, a GG1 just rushes by.

Picture 5: Back down at sea level, we rumble across the Ely junction.

Picture 6: Crownpoint. With the construction of the line for the paper services, Crownpoint has recieved a passenger station, currently served by one single train running from Livingston to Ely.

I wish I could find the room for stations like that! I don't have room for a 7 to 10 tile station, let alone a 14 tile one! Very impressive landscape. You've got three locos up front? How does it perform up hills?

OTTD realistic acceleration on hills doesn't scupper the trains nearly as much as TTDP would where a train is reduced to crawling at 1mph even you've put freighttrains to something too big or you haven't give the trains enough beans on the front...

What he said, especially when you keep the grades low. I only climb 1 height level every 7 or so tiles, so with three locos, there is no problem at all.

Near Green Hill, three freight lines are crossing each other in rather unusual fashion. As it is becoming busier and busier, the one spot where all three lines can be viewed rather well started to attract an ever increasing number of trainspotters.

Some of the local guys could convince the land owner to put up a small shed where some hot coffee and paninis are served to the crowd, which often spends hours in the cold. They have also put up a big sign "Trainspotter's paradise". And paradise it is. While we have wood trains passing by the southern line, we also have heavy iron ore trains which use the curved line together with some more wood and paper trains. Finaly, the curve is crossed over by a bridge where the very long paper trains pass over.
On busy days, there is a "rumble" in the valley, while the diesels work hard on the grades.

 the "Trainspotter's paradise" idea is simply great! But the location seems quite hard to reach: I suggest a simple passenger stop on one of the three railroads where a steam train can arrive from a nearby town. Ok, it will impossible to make profit with such train, but railfans will be very grateful  !

Your wish shall be my command.
Walabe Bay transport has found an old (77 years) 4-8-4 Northern stored in a shed somewhere, even with some old Pullmann coaches. After some restoration work, the train has been put together again and the first special trip runs to the newly constructed passenger siding at "Trainspotter's Paradise"

Shot 1 shows our special crossing the bridges at Avonburg.

Shot 2 and our train rolls downhill trough the Keever Loop.

Shot 3, the special has reached the passenger siding at "Trainspotters Paradise"
