Is there any way in TTD and or OTTD to use two graphics at the same time, getting for example Norwegian and Swedish trains at the same time? Because I want to play on a scandinavia scenario, and I want to use Norwegian trains in Norway, and Swedish in Sweden. Makes a little bit more sense
actually, i had been wondering about something like this earlier on. wouldn't that be awesome, having a tabbed vehicle purchase window with 3 sets available. especially interesting with a large OTTD map. Dutch set, Belgian Set, DBset, UKRS and whatnot more. hmmmmmm...

I've been doing that a while, I combine the US set and the Canadien set. I like the engines and cars the both offer, but I like using them together to get some intresting combonations. It's also useful since I like increasing output to an insane amount to run long trains, so I get to use some more powerful locos that aren't available in the other set. (like the 2-10-2 steamer or the GG-1 electric)
And we developers won't do it, because recognise the amount of work required, of course if one of you community members asking for it want it implement fine.
I don't have enough time to even attempt such a large thing when I've still got things like newRoutes to get back to working on!

Why? As useful as increasing the number of IDs for certain classes of vehs would be, existing train sets are just too different (graphics, stats, costs, ...) to be used simultaneously, especially for the "realistic player"[tm].
Well, from a player's standpoint, it could be interesting to mix up reasonably "similar" sets of trains, like the Canadian set and the USSet as someone already mentioned.
It would be very useful for coders as well... as of now, any coder who wants to put together a set with more than 116 trains can only do it in OTTD. They will be forced to release a smaller version of the same set just for TTDPatch. Now, it's obviously true that 116 IDs are more than enough to make up a fully playable and rather diverse set, but more IDs could be useful to add extra level of detail.
