Oneway roads in the combined roadset

Post by Maulwurf »

Hi,
I use the combined roadset in the moment, but when I try to build oneway roads by pressing Ctrg there aren't any arrows to indicate the allowed driving direction in the construction mode. The onewayroads switch is on. What could be the problem?

Regards

Do you own the piece of road you're setting to one-way? If you don't, you can't.

Are you just pressing Ctrl or are you pressing Ctrl and clicking?

Not true ... I just checked to make sure and I was definitely able to convert a road owned by a town into one way.

Ah - sorry, my mistake. Are you using the combined roadset too? Might be a graphics problem after all, then - seeing town road graphics are different from out-of-town graphics.

You only see the arrows as long as the road construction window is open.
Maybe you have closed it ?

Only the North American road set has different icons for one way roads. Otherwise, it does not matter which road set you use. One way roads is part of ttdpbasew.grf and not a part of the road set itself.

@Maulwurf: make sure that you have miscmods.alwaysshowoneway on in your ttdpatch.cfg file.

Be careful with your suggestions. He might be a mole.

To get back to the ownership point: Wallyweb, I really can't make it happen - exactly those tiles I don't own, those I can't convert to one-way roads. I'm using r11289 with ChrisIN and the trafficset.

Well ... I am using TTDPatch. Perhaps someone else playing OTTD can try it to see if the problem is repeatable for them. Is it possible that in OTTD, players are prohibited from touching town owned roads?

I'm always pleased to offer a helping hand to our OTTD neighbours if they feel we can help. :D

How could I have missed this topic :?. The solution is simple: I didn't include graphics for one-way roads because at the time of making there were no one-way roads. It's not likely I'll add it, I'm not sure how many people use the Combined Roadset and if there is a urgent need for a new release.

In OpenTTD you cannot create a one way road on a town owned road. Your company must be the owner of the road. Remove the town owned road (and take a hit with the local authority unless you use the magic bulldozer cheat) and replace it with your company owned road. You will then be able to make that road one way.
