Well, here is my latest work in progress: as Zimmlock suggested, the gantry cranes are being re-worked (it was about time!)
The work is still in progress, but here is a preview of the available color schemes that will appear randomly:

Hey, Sanchimaru, those cranes look awesome!

My drawing is probably going to be ramping up a bit, again. Boston's wet autumn and brutal winter is upon us, which puts a hamper on outdoor playtime for me and my GF. The local pubs are always warm and inviting, though. :)

Ben: Keep up the work, Bubba. Any contribution is greatly welcome!

Cheers! And thanks for all of the kind comments, everyone.

Cranes look great, having been taking a few photos of container trip trains in and out of Botany container port today, I'm in the mood for container cranes and container trains :D

Meanwhile, here is the definitive version of the gantry cranes. I hope that everything is ready now. Thanks a lot to Zimmlock who inspired me to work on the new cranes, and to m3henry and Hertog-Dixi for inspiring me on the old style cranes!

I'm sorry I have not updated the site, because my transfer server is broken. Hopefully it will be fixed this week and I'll get caught up. I haven't forgotten though.

>Ben: It's nice to hear that you are ready to work in some new parts! Actually, would you like to draw some cooling storage warehouses? They can be used to process such items as food, fish, milk, or other perishable goods. Any kind of refridgerated facilities will be great.
Your work looking for real pictures for the gold mine was perfect, so I am counting on your abilities for this one too.
That's if you would like to do it, off course. Other cargo that still needs sprites: water, fruit, and rubber. Then there are the new cargo sets, such as Pikkabird's or George's; but I'd say that we finish first the original set of freight goods.

>krtaylor: no problem at all :D just whenever you have the chance to do it. You have always been there, I know you will be watching the progress ;)

Sanchimaru, no problem at all. Leave the refrigerator and food storage to me. It won't be done very quickly as I only get small amounts of time when the girlfriend is at work however as soon as I can I'll get on the case! :)

One thing that I like a lot about working in TTD graphics is that one can co-work with great artists and get their wise advice and collaboration. This is the case of Zimmlockm who helped me in improving the harbor cranes; and now he has contributed allowing some of his sprites to be used for the Industrial Renewal!

The first set are some processed materials: steel, copper, barrels and planks. The barrels can be used for any chemical or processed oil product. Even for food or water. The planks can be processed wood goods, or plastic.

More are to come! The next batch will be brand new warehouses and storage storage facilities. But that will take longer. In the meantime, enjoy the processed products.
If any coder is willing to lend a hand, we won't need to dream of having these in our games :D

Somebody, somebody, please,
Won't you code, code, code,
Code some of these?
So I won't have to copy
to paste them into my screenies?

(Just add music)

Those look absolutely fantastic Sanchimaru, I hope you have a good coder lined up for them too.
Just wondering, I see slight variants on some of the tiles, are these two variations to be randomized on a per tile basis?
