Ok, so my usual trip to work involves a 10 minute drive to the train station. There is usually a car park space close to the station still available by the time I arrive, park there, walk to the station and wait a minute or two for the 7:50 train to arrive. The train ride then takes me about 40 min express past the minor stations and stopping at the major stations only. I arrive at my destination at 8:30 and then take a leisurely 15min walk to work, finally arriving with a good 15min to spare before I start work. I must stipulate that this is my 'usual' trip to work, and that none of these 'usual' events occurred on this darkest of dark days.
So It all started in the morning, where most days start. As soon as I awoke I knew something was wrong. A quick glance at the bedside clock told me that I had overslept the alarm my almost half an hour! I am late for work! So I quickly have a shower, eat breakfast, get dressed and
OUCH!! Kick my toe on the steps as I ran out of the house. Oh well its just a bit of pain, no blood, nothing serious. It then, after my frantic race to get ready for work and numbing of my toe, occurred to me that today is going to be wet, very wet. Just great. But hey, I made up 10min in that race.

I hop into my car, start it up, no problems here, and set off on my drive to work. I'm late to work so naturally I am in a rush, however because of the rain the annoying, idiotic drivers seem to come out in full force, on a mission to slow down my progress, annoy me and the other 'good' drivers, and quite bluntly run me off the road. I kid you not I saw drivers change lanes and then indicate AFTER that they want to change lanes! ARRRHHHH!! Finally after a frustrating 20min drive that should take 10min I reach the train station where things just get worse.

I look around for a car space in the usual area but because I am late all the spaces are taken, damn it!

constant
heavy
rain,
because I have left my umbrella at my house. DOH!
My walk to the train station was ok, that is apart from the constant heavy rain, the freight train going past causing me to wait in the constant heavy rain, and the strap on my bag breaking causing me to pick up its contents in the constant heavy rain. Upon reaching the train station I'm
now soaking wet, ripe pickings for a flu or cold to torment me in the days to come. My patience with today was wearing thin and snapped when
I found out that the train I thought I was meant to be catching at 8:20 was delayed by 10min!
"ARRRHHH" I screamed silently to myself. First my alarm, the drivers, the car park, the BLOODY RAIN, and now this! Whats next on the list of 'Things to ****ing annoy Ryan with' *sigh*
So feeling really agitated I get on the train and contemplate the turn of events while the train takes me to my destination. While in quiet contemplation I am yet to realize that at the next stop, Perth station, the train is terminating and that to continue on my travels I must exit the train and board the next one arriving. "Whoever is doing this to me just let me get to work in peace!" I shake my fists at the sky.

Finally I reach my destination, depart the train and walk to the edge of the covered area of the train station only to realize that it is still raining, heavily, constantly and that I am still very wet, although better than before I might add. So I embark on a mission to get me to work while getting only minimally wet, so off I go darting from cover to cover, getting some strange looks from the smart people I pass by (you know, the ones with an umbrella or rain coat).
So here I am, at work, writing this story to all of you. My clothes are still a bit damp, and I feel better after telling this to my boss who completely understood and didn't mind me being late (as long as I work a bit later that is). Just thinking about what happened this morning makes me laugh now, how could all that happen to me! What had gone wrong? At least so far since then nothing has gone wrong, a change of luck perhaps. Whatever happened its now over, except for one thing...
Its STILL RAINING!!!
