[OTTD] Owen's UKRS OpenTTD game

Post by orudge »

Well, I'm embarking on a new game, this time in OpenTTD. I've never really played a "serious" single player game in OpenTTD before, so this'll be a first for me. I've also not played TTD since the summer (I should post some shots of my TTDPatch UKRS and Japan Set games, as well as my previous US Set, DB Set XL, etc, games... dear me, such a backlog). Playing this game with UKRS, newstations, Industrial Stations, AV8 and Born Acorn's UK roadset.

Currently, I'm just making the topic until I have some nice shots to show. I'll hopefully upload something later. ;)

EDIT: I'll trim the shots a bit better next time, and will also not have that menu in the way. :P

My game is currently concentrating on coal to make some money - really the best earner at the start of the game. I have a fleet of 0-6-0s (and a few 0-8-0s for the slightly tougher routes) pulling coal from a smattering of mines to a local power station.

More soon...

A reasonably busy short branch line to the coal mine there. Will start using the iron ore soon, too.

Concentrating mainly on coal to start, this power station has become quite busy, and the primary line so far

Well, for the record, I don't play TTD all that often these days, so when I do, I just want to enjoy it. I'm not a complete realism nut, as you may have noticed, so please don't moan every time I post a 180 degree junction, or a junction using tunnels, or whatever. :P Although, hm, I did think I'd disabled the 90 degree pathfinder turns in OpenTTD, maybe I didn't.

Double-post, how naughty of me. Anyway, shots will be coming soon, I've played this game up to 2010 so far, I'll go back and find some good shots in the next day or two. ;)

How naughty! And if it wasn't for me, you might've had to do a triple-post :P
