This is a new idea i have just thought up with, after reading a post by another member in the British Tram Set thread. So what do you think about a Brittish Bus Set

I think its a good idea (half of it being my idea!

) so yeah. Ive started on one of the First busses and ill do the double decker and the Stagecoach livery (of the same bus).I'll probably do the most quintessenial British Road vehicle: The Ford Transit (as a bonus).

EDIT: Heh, the Sheffield no. 75 to Batemoor. Heh.

Yup, i am working on gathering the images of the main companies in England. (First, Arriva, Yorkshire Traction, Stagecoach, Yorkshire Traction was bought out by Stagecoach)

Below is an Arriva bus, and a First minibus.

Why don't you concentrate on the trams first? And once that's finished, start working on busses?

There isn't anything else to be done to the trams, we are just waiting for them to be coded, then wait for feedback for next version

I get a feeling this won't work.

There are SOOOOO many different types of bus just for Travel West Midlands.

We don't have to do every bus, just like the Generic one, the minibus one, and a few others. Then we re-skin them in the different companys Liverys. Simple, not as realistic, but it works.

Well to be honest, First & Arriva are the same bus, just different livery, the Stagecoach ones are slightly different, but essentially the same.

Yeah, that sort of stuff. We need a list of the makes of busses, one of the busses pictures and general stats. It may work but its gonna need some serious help.

Um, does that mean we can't do the same as i did on British Trams? I just let people suggest and draw....
(And i think the end product looks pretty good IMO)

Well yeah, but since there is so many busses we need a general guide. JUst like the basic makes of bus (and maybe lorry) and then do it in the different liveries.

What we need is the base vehicles drawn for anyone and everyone to draw liveries.

Remember that all the trams in Britain look different - you need to agree on colour standards for liveries and a standard model for people to colour.

How is this set different from haec omnibus vobis sunt - UK Bus Set? Or is this meant as a sucessor to it?

Well, here are the first sprites!

I couldn't get the colours exactly right as there were no colours in the pallete that matched.

And i think it is meant as complimental set to the British Tram set and BR set (when it arrives

) But you could say it is a successor to HOVS.

HOVS, as with the UKRS, offers busses in Company Colours. I assume Kirk's plan is to offer British busses in real life liveries.
