Yes, it´s the "Minuano", a three-part diesel-hydraulic train set of the "Viação Férrea do Rio Grande do Sul" (metre gauge) in southern Brasil. Twelve of them were in service between 1954 and 1980.
In fact there were two different train services and routes:
- the "Minuano" ran between Porto Alegre and Uruguaiana
- the "Pampeiro" ran between Porto Alegre and São Borja
Since 1960, the former ran as well in a five-part composition (the middle car always was a bar-coach with a pantry). A three-part train typically had only 120 Pullman-seats, it was a luxury train in the well-known TTDPatch fashion.
Now,
[x] "Minuano" [lifeblood]
[x] Brazil [AndersI/Rollo]
[x] company [Rollo]
Rollo, I´d say it´s your turn!
regards
Michael
