Don't worry about it, now then as you requested, a new roof, yes I know at this time I have not redo done the roof in the other view, I just want people's opinions on this view first.

Oh and Henry, I give in, I have done the doors like you said. making the gap narrower is going to be hard because of the way the depots are constructed. They are built in two parts, the back wall (ie the right hand side of the entrance on the one I have drawn) is a seperate sprite so that the train sprite is laid over the top of that one giving the appearance of the train exiting the depot, I am not sure (at this point in time how to make that larger. I will work on it.

Edit: also attached the image this time...

I like it. Maybe add abit of colour variation to show rust and maybe abit of a green colour to show weeds. I mean not A LOT but maybe pixels here and there to sperate the colours.

Ok I might try adding rust and weeds later but in the meantime I have done the other 3 views, just realised I forgot to change the roof so that is next thing to do. Comments please

Too bad that roof texture is barely visible, because it is awesome :!:

Well Purno, I am having trouble with the shading. So it remains as it is at the moment.

Anyway, Dave seems to reckon that this should be a simple sprite replacement job. However I do not want to do this, instead I want to create a .grf of this depot so that people can turn it on or off. How do I do this, I'm fairly certain the wiki doesn't explain this...

Sounds to me Action A will do the job, AFAICT.

Well I am a complete technophobe when it comes to Coding, some one will have to explain that to me. In the meantime however I will have to a) eat, b) learn to code (in that order, most definitely)

No... Sprite replacement still involves a .grf.

As Purno said, it's Action A that you want.

I can take a look at it, if you wish.

Thanks Dave, I have been speaking with Josef and I think I know how to do it, so I will try it myself first, when it all goes wrong however I may come crawling back. Cheers for the offer though.

If you are coding in NFO (as opposed to using GRFMaker) I would personally suggest that if you come "crawling back", it be to ask either "NFORenum said thus-and-so. What does that mean?" or "NFORenum thinks this is OK, but the grf is doing foo instead of bar. What is wrong?", instead of "I give up. Please code this for me."
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I was indeed going to come back for advice, I am not one of those people that gives up easily, I certainly believe the philosophy of "If at first you don't succeed... (etc. etc.)

Final graphics have been drawn and thanks to Dave Worley's walk through idiot's guide to GRFMaker I have started to code it. Getting the right sprite to appear on the right tile is the tricky part... Wish me luck people. If people are interested in a test release, please PM me. Dave has got one, and I will give out 4 more... First cometh first serveth!
