and what should such a vote be based on? It's like a lot of people votes for election: there is a list of names(politicians) and they hit a name they know because they know it, not really because they know if that person fits their views on stuff.

Should I start to make a campain to get people to vote for me or ?

anyway I'm planning to make a list of needed trains soon, maybe on Friday/next weekend

I would say, that whoever shows that they have the time and competence, by assembling a good tracking table (list), should take the helm.

What a pointless vote. People can vote "no" and then what? It's not like "no" means people wants OKF2000
Before making a pool, it would be a good idea to acutally think about if you can use the result for anything

Maybe "no" means that people thinks that nobody should make trainsets from specific countries.... we will never know from this pool

Companies actually hire specially trained people to figure out how to make pools there you can use the result for anything

Is this dead?

I dont code(yet) and i dont draw (yet), but I do know A LOT obout these trains. My father worked 30 years in DSB and took me everywhere from age 4 to 20 to look at danish trains and take pictures and stuff. The guy my sister is married to is a locodriver, so I've been with him on the job A LOT of times.

I can help, if needed, to provide with information. I would be glad to help!

I don't think it's lack of knowledge of Danish trains, that prevents this from being made, more like lack of time or skill. It's actually tricky to draw sprites of that size and it's no help only to be allowed to use 8 bit colours either.

For a project like this to work, it needs at least one skilled graphic artist, who are also dedicated enough to finish the task. Encoding it to a grf file is another matter, but once you got the sprites and knows how to put them together, it should be possible to get help making the grf file if needed.

Sure it helps to know the trains, but it's just not enough. If it were, I would have made this ages ago

Instead I code, which results in a nice gameplay as well, just in another way

Well, I would love to see this project happen. I'll Slowly start reading a little about how to draw trains for TTD, and see if i might could produce something that could be coded. But with my computer skills, i think it might take a while..

WTF? Just because you're lazy you want to let people do work over again? Now stop being this frigging lazy and at least browse to the 9 pages of this topic, and you'll find at least 2 trains drawn. If you can't take that effort (note; I once browsed 160 pages of a topic to collect all sprites), then stop acting like you're gonna lead this set, because then you're a useless leader.
