Caravan Park Industry - Ready to code! (Mods see first post)
Having consulted patchman about thread-revival, I have decided to take the good parts of the dead thread and repost them here.
Images here are the sprites completed by 2-10-0, and a mock-up.
Credit goes to him and GameR for his tents.
Several updates may still be made. I feel there's a need for putting a few static caravans, as shown attached, to make a hybrid field, which is how a lot of the major caravan parks work. Also, a couple of amenities would be nice. This shouldn't go uncoded, so - shock horror - I'm going to have a go myself.

That southern-most corner should be coded with a ground-sprite of 1349, so the current road-sets will integrate seamlessly.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

alright, with finally someone sensible (read: Dave) as chief commander, i dare to repeat my question: will this be an entire new ECS string? seems most logical, right?

Agreed, unless you want those small little houses which they call "caravans" here but aren't mobile. Those are usually boxy.

Then dont use trains? Personally i would use a midrange, mid speed bus going to the nearest rural town from it, then from the rural, either a train service or bus service to major towns. (Sorry i plan things a bit too much)jpmaster wrote:Umm. I think it holds potential.

Well, i was thinking either of these two might work.
1) The caravan site also has something else of interest added to it, Theme park or nature reserve perhaps. Something that would dignify a public transportation service.
2) They produce mail and passengers but hardly anything perhaps three to four passengers a week? dignifying a public transport service but an irregular one.
