Please, can anyone explain me why my train takes the wrong route in this situation. I thought I know everything about normal signals, but this is something I just don't get.
All worked fine until this awful jam occured, and it seems that trains try to avoid jam by going the wrong way. When I saw this, a few trains already had skipped this turn and got lost in another branch...
Game is saved just before train enters this junction. If you stop him for a few seconds and wait till one train leave the "Main paper" station, then the train will take correct route, otherwise he will come to "Main power" station instead...
P.S. I know, this station layout is far from perfect, and there won't be such jam problems in proper network, but I'm just curious why one-way signal let the train choose the wrong route, and how to avoid this.
Thanks in advance!

The train is taking the only route open to it.
If the correct route is in use and the light red, then the wrong route (with its green light) is a way that it can go forward and try and find another route into the station.
as 3iff suggests, i think waypoints are the way to go in this case (until a redesign anyway)

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. - PKD
