You're th Best!
Dear Fellow TT-Forum Members;
I simply Thank You for the Welcome Back, (one I don't deserve.)
I pray I'm a better member from all this.
Here is a pic of the underground "Subway" passenger/mail sevice which I'm working
on at the present time. It's from my saved game 'Spanish Express Ltd.' I hope you'll see
what I'm doing. I'm now converting all my passenger and mail service to "Subway",
and leaving the slower regular RR system to the Industry Sector.
Always,
Jim Powers

Re: You're th Best!
I'd also like to welcome you back Jim, glad the past is behind us...
(I think that's nearly a tautology)
Anyway.... that subway looks awesome... I love the way there is just a nice chunk of junction and then tunnels and all is hidden again... if only we could get it all underground!

Mr. Jim Powers,
I'd also like to decalre my support for your excellent scenarious and your continuous work here on this forum.
I've been on a vacation during the last week and missed all that stuff, but I'm surely glad to see that you've changed your mind and decided to stay.
Been playing the industrial zone all day, that's an excellent work you did with that scenario, I'm enjoying evey bit of it, also my first time to try your subway construction idea and it is fun to figure out and tune it up so it can keep those stations with high raitings. I've been focusing on the industry of cource and managed to cover most of the industry so far and I'm just building my secound sub-way even if it is a bit inefficient with those slow steam locomotives, but this will change in the feature. There is a lot more to do though and I'll post when I get farther.
I'm attaching a few screen shots. Note that I'm useing OpenTTD insead of ttdpatch (mostly because of the better pathfinding), the scenario works just fine with it. No special settings - a couple of newgrfs and no infation (for those who would wonder about the low numbers in the status bar).

Subway at Night
Mr. Ar4i;
I'm very happy to know you like Industrial Zone. I don't play OpenTTD, but, am glad
it works for you, Sir. also thank you for your support.
I've attached a night scene screenie showing the Subway station at Night.
I use Mr. Blunck's Flat Stations for my Subway Stations in Spanish Express Ltd.
This weekend I'll be releasing a new scenario called "Twin Peaks, USA".
I've inclosed a screenie from it also.
Always,
Jim Powers

- A very busy RR Station. I've combined my Subway and my Regular RR Stations. Most Subway Stations though are below ground.

looks like a lot of RV traffic is gonna hit those bridges....
"This is Channel 4 Traffic news! Good morning everyone, as we hit the morning rush our and the holiday season is soon over for the most of us, traffic is going to worsen over the next days. Expect major delays on the Interroute 1 via the Central Island in both directions. Traffic on the other routes north-south should be fairly lighter, but here as well, we are gonna have some delays, especially towards the town centres."

Pics of Twin Peaks, USA
Dear TTD Family;
"Twin Peaks, USA" will be one tough scenario to play. It has sheer cliffs raising up
from the rivers and with only 2 cities to do business in. Yes
these cities named Twin Peaks East and Twin Peaks West, are the only 2 cities, but, they
are over 50,000 population in each city. But, the only connecting links are 6 huge bridges going
to each of the 7 mountain tops. Also, in "Twin Peaks, USA", the
Industries are strategically located in difficult terrain so that you will not have a 'Gravy Train'
making money on this scenario. There is a very large plateau which has NO industries.
Why? Be cause that's where sometime in the game an Industry suddenly appears. Who knows,
you might even be able to use it, Hee, Hee!
Now, do you still have the guts to try? Will you become a true Transport Tycoon?
Only by playing will you know.
There are 3 suggestions that I'd make before you start.
#1. Put your Industries on 'Low.'
#2 Use that fine Viaduct Grf.
#3 Use the US Trainset.
(And #4 Maybe pray to God you don't mess and go bankrupt!)
Always,
Jim Powers
