I have got the same problem with grf. When using the wizard and encoding a file the programm crashes every time, in the 2nd try it works correctly(not exiting the programm, "restart wizard").

My error:

Marcel, what version of GRFCodec is this? Have you tried version 0.9.3?

It is version 0.9.2, I think. But my error message must not have been caused by the codec, I gain the same message in Anno 1503 and Neverwinter Nights, sometimes in AcdSee. Perhaps a hardwareproblem, I don`t know. I will try 0.9.3.

The same error code at another program or just the same error message.

I found them, it's so embarassing: I had moved them to the 'Mps' directory, instead of letting them be around in the Ttdx directory

Grfcodec still didn't work with the oldest grf file. However, I haven't tried it since I removed the plugin for the Saved game manager, I think it was since I installed it Grfcodec didn't work anymore...

And I haven't tried 0.93 yet...

Latest news from the front ( ): I've tested it (0.93), and I've found that neither my changed trg1.grf, the oldest trg1.grf I have, the changed trg1r.grf nor the original trg1r.grf can be encoded with my grfcodec.

But, e.g., the tempset.grf can be encoded :? :?

How exactly does it not work? Please be more specific when you report problems :!:

What happens that shouldn't happen?
What doesn't happen that should happen?
Any error messages?
Does it crash?
Burn?
Explode?
Turn your puppy dog into a hamster?

If it crashes, please provide a crash report, as much info as you can provide. Every little bit helps, a single missing piece of info can make it impossible for me to locate the problem.

OK, I don't know if everything in the crash report is the same, but what happens is that windows gets a fatal error. Just like before.
But that only happens with trg1.grf and trg1r.grf, and it doesn't matter if the files are original or changed.

But it works with GRFWizard!!
However, you can't change the palette with it (the -m switch), so...

I'll see if I can find a crash report...

For Win9x, the contents of the "details" button on the crash message would be good.

For others, you'll have to use Dr. Watson to get the log. I don't know how to do that, but maybe this thread helps:
