As I have already written in that thread, I have no idea if it is difficult, if that patch is written just for the MiniIN version..... However, that function would be very good if you want to create the road network in cities without random and useless roads built by cities....

I think it can be useful to limit town growth Rich. Currently, the only way to do so is by buying all the land around it. Also, with or without the town growth patch, the road building AI still has major issues, and even a single serviced station can put a town into massive expansion which you really cant control or take advantage of.

I know that there would not be more and more people in the city.... however... there is no way how to create "an own city".... because sometimes it may look better when a small village stays like a small vilage and does not grow.... and on the other hand when a city grows quickly, but in a normal way, so with a possibility to make a "central park" or something like that, without using millions of "company signs"
Just not to play only because of the transportation, but also a little bit because of creating cities
(city transport is a kind of transport too..) Well.... I know there are some cities on the world, formed by squares so it is reality too.... but it does not look good 
Btw, the TownGrowth patch.... is it active automatically ? Because in the game I tried to play, there were useless roads again, especially when there is one line of free squares (for buildings) between a railway station and a road....

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Yes, that's true, I can build own roads.... but what if I just don't want to build squares ? I have just tried this myself and can't reproduce the problem. The purchase costs and running costs that I have checked are the same (within a few pounds) in both the MiniIN and the nightly build. Note that in the MiniIN, if daylength is set greater than 1, the running costs are multiplied by the daylength so are higher, as they should be.gkirilov wrote:richk, there is a problem with the LV3 prices. What LV3 GRFs are you using? (I have tried 3LongBusesw.grf, 3ScaniaTrucksw.grf and 3VolvoTrucksw.grf). Maybe it would help if you post your config. file.
I was investigating this ... and it looks like that the LVs should be after the dbsetxl in the cfg file.
And this is also a problem of the nighlies. Not only in the miniIN.

I've now tried this in TTDPatch and it has the same problem. If LV3 is loaded before DBSetXL the LV3 purchase prices are about a quarter of what they should be, if DBSetXL is loaded first the LV3 prices are ok.
I don't think this is a bug as such but an incompatibility between DBSetXL and LV3. At least there is an easy fix for it, load DBSetXL first

I havent used the MINI-IN since 4393 due to university finals so i was a little dissapointed with the latest version (r5476) - i enclose a savegame below but anyway:
the start all button on the vehicle screen doesnt work
I cant disable the new "load, unload" buttons in vehicle orders (this thing is really annoying - it means i cant quickly buy out a computer and un select its stupid "load at a crappy airport in the middle of nowhere" option - in addition im not sure that any of the new buttons are needed - if people want it in PLEASE give me an option to take it out
transferring gold at bank rather than making money - result is appalling rating - this has been an issue before i know - basically armoured trains transporting gold to a bank only transfer it and leave a build up of gold on the station - which gives me an appalling rating.
I havent seen any others yet but frankly those final 2 issues are sufficiently annoying to make me go back to an old IN.
Sorry if im sounding like an arse - im just expressing my frustration

You're not sounding like an arse at all - you should see the 0.4.8 RC1 - it's utter crap (with all due respect) - it doesn't even have YAPF and quite a lot of other bugs (e.g. producing industries don't produce at all
).

I only integrate what Im given; Im not going to spend ages making things optional just because some players dont like the feature. Been there, done that... took control of Integrated Nightly and kept it up to date.... If you get frustrated, and want a feature optional, then dig into the code, create a patch to make the feature you want optional, and submit the patch for inclusion.Sorry if im sounding like an arse - im just expressing my frustration

I did not add it because i had to add the half size of file with only the old window code to have both windows types. And that only to have the old odrer window available? I took a look at it and noticed that i can't do it really simple. If you switch the fifo patch on and off while having a order window opened, the game creates some glitches. I don't know how they result i only noticed that some disabled buttons became enabled and vice versa. I could easy solve that if there is a patch opton that only allowes to change the patch setting before a game and not while playing. If there are some more then one who do not want to use the fifo loading, i'll look for a solution.
