
OpenTTD 0.4.8 RC1

I have a problem with this latest build.
Factorys doesnt produce anything. Nor, oil refineries, or sawmills.
I transport lots of livestock, grain, oil, or wood, the station accepts it, i get paid for it. But the factorys windows says 0 goods producing. And after a while, the factory closes too, because i think the game thinks, that nothing is transported to that factory...
Any ideas?

Don't use 0.4.8 rc1 posted on this forum!!!
I seem to have the same problem that Locutus reported earlier: all secondary industires stopped producing after approx 3 years of running the game.
I was using a savegame that I used to play on 0.4.5,
I downloaded 0.4.8 rc1 binary from the link earlier on this thread.

Version 0.4.8
I understand, that version 0.4.8 is just a bugfix version.
I installed the version from this forum, but a lot of things i had before, were not there anymore.
I understand now, that the reason is, that only the bugs from version 0.4.7 are gone now.
So that means, that all the nighty work until now is not implemented in version 0.4.8, is that right?
But the other question is, are the bugs in version 0.4.7 fixed in the nighties?
If so, why should you use version 0.4.8, you better use the nighties.

Some people want the most stable version without extra fancy features, and the nightly isn't tested AFAIK so there may still be bugs in the nightly.

problem is, cutting the incomplete crap out usually introduces more bugs then the "unstable" nightlies had in the first place(such as 0.4.7). the nightly is currently the most stable version of OTTD you can get.
JPG SUX!!! USE PNG!!!
There are times when JPG is useful, TTD screenshots is not one of them. Please use PNG instead.

bobingabout: The nightly isn't the most stable. If it was, my nightly server wouldn't keep randomly desyncing players, and the sandbox wouldn't keep crashing.

I got the 0.4.8-RC1 sources from Sourceforge and compiled them (Fedora Core 5/i586). Now I have the same problem as Locutus and Maxx: Secondary industries don't work anymore. Regardless of how much I transfer to these industries, nothing comes out.

There is no such things as a "real 0.4.8 RC1" release, all binaries nicked 0.4.8 RC1 are from the same source. But okay, this bug is indeed very valid, and has been fixed in latest SVN version. If you have that in ttdpatch it means you're missing the .grf file with the slopes... I'm not sure if the same holds true for ottd though.
