Tile-ability?
tile-ability is the ability to tile a building. Similar to how we build stations now. We can build a 1x1 station, but we can build a 15x15 station too and it doesn't take any new models. That's tile-ability. And this station doesn't have it.
I see we have a nice tile-ability conversation going on. I'd like to point out that in my original posting of this station I admitted that it is not tileable. "All the details aren't there and it's not as tileable as it needs to be", were my exact words.
So that's what I've been working on since then. And I'm not done yet, but for the sceptics.. I come bearing proof, see attachment.
It now uses four different tiles (two 1x1 and two 2x1 tiles), as opposed to, the original two different tiles (one 1x1 and one 2x1). And I really would like some flexibility in the stations, so additional two tiles would be nice. However, if this is an impossibility, I'll work my way down to two tiles.

Well, I don't think that stations on hills would be particularly useful. What I mean is it would be nice to have more station tile types.
I just checked and there are actually three different station tiles (see attachment), two 1x1 (a & b) and one 2x1 (c). So what I would really like is one more 2x1 type tile. Of course if someone codes support for ten different types of station tiles, I'll gladly do graphips for them.
Thats the image i used, (you linked to it the other week).
Started on the 1x1 Tower, not shore of name... Trying to go as close to the origianl, but somethings had to change, like its road wich went to nowhere, from nowhere. (.max)

No, there are eight different station tiles, all 1x1.
A and B, as listed. C is really two different tiles; the left side and the right side are separate types.
The other four are duplicates of the first four, but in the other direction. (NE-SW, instead of NW-SE)

Had I spent half a minute thinking, I might have figured that one out with my own brain-a-ma-thingie.
Ben_robbins - nice tower but isn't the elevator shaft (i'm guessing that's what it is) rather taller than the building on your version (even more so than the original)? You could take three, maybe even four "notches" off of it and it'd still be tall enough for the building.
Ben_Robbins_ wrote:Trying to go as close to the origianl, but somethings had to change, like its road wich went to nowhere, from nowhere.
Could that road going from nowhere to nowhere be an entrance to an underground parking? That would certainly explain what the apparently useless arch is for (in the original picture).

Mariarty: I lined up the two, cause i agree it looks to tall, but there the same height... I think its the lankyness of it, so ill make it fatter later.. Plus my poor lighting set has the rooftop blindingly bright, so the tower seems to become distant from its background
LordOfThePigs: I have made it a (small) parking enterence (Ground Floor)..Not shore what you mean
Not everything in a building has to make sense, sometimes it just an architectural statement. Allthough in this case I'm not sure what that statement is (phalic symbolism anyone?).

The left end of the road is darker than the right end (on the original picture) and it looks like it ends up into a subterranean parking under the building (under the ground floor, that is)
