[Question]Modding Farms (..) to behave like Mines ?

Post by SkyNet »

Is it possible to mod the the industry which is depending on the area ( farms and forests ) to act like mines ?

it sucks , that they cant produce more resources like a mine ?

it would be cool to have a farm which produces more than 300 t of grain , so we can produce a lot mor beere for example ;)

well this one allowes me "only" to place the producing industry like the steelmill and the others .... that is not exactly what i want :)

it would be cool to have a forrest mit some more than this 300t per month , it should be able to raise ( or lower ) his output , like the mines :)

you mean like the real world...

it's never constant every year in the real world, droughts, and such effect the output.

This mod of Loewe 13 lets the production rise also.
They never go down.
So the production of a farm can go up to 3069 ton a month max in a few years.
Also you can place several farms around your station during the game.
Read also my topics about "max productions of industries".

I recently stumbled upon these lines in the farm.dat file:

Code: Select all

  <bit name="canincreaseproduction">0</bit>
  <bit name="candecreaseproduction">0</bit>
If you change the 0s into 1s, the farm can increase and decrease its production! You could mod them to never decrease production, although I personally think that's unrealistic and kind of lame.
