[wip] New tunnel graphic for new patchfeature
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
Yep,
Replaceing the tunnel entrances of TTD via ActionA to have a version that works visual better with a track sprite on it. Be sure to not put a track on top of it. Enhancetunnels supports different track types on top and below of the tunnel. TTDPatch draws the current track sprite on top, which is borked with maglevs, but there is no suitable sprite in default TTD Sprite space ...

I tried to create some sample, the base sprites are by Oz and pixel pushed by me to fit better in...

Anyone already have Action A replacements?
Would be nice if I could test some new code to reduce flicker ...

What happened to Oz? I havn't seen him around for a while.
He has probably been around and i havn't noticed actually.

He's working on his thesis, if I remember correctly. Thus, Insanely ****ing Busy.Geo.c Ghost wrote:Those belong to Oz

So if we can't use Oz grf... I think that the eis_os proposition is too quite nice but it could be a littel brighter

Very nice work
I would like to know when the first grf releases?
The day that the grf's releases I'll make sure that I have nothig planned for the rest of that day.

As Oskar already said, thats too much work, and not needed. I think it would be nice, but coming from nothing to rail over rail tunnels is more than enough to keep me satisfied.jixor wrote:Great.
I can see why (graphically) you couldn't have road over a rail tunnel but could you have rail over a road tunnel?
I'm not going to look the horse in the mouth, even though it would be a good idea, for sure

I'm loving the rail over rail tunnel feature, I used it extensively when playing yesterday.
eis_os, regarding the graphics you have posted so far, they are looking nice, but I think I prefer the lighter variation.

Yes, I'm sorry, tone is a rather hard thing to convey using pure text. I wasn't harassing you, I was giving the standard "It's okay to make suggestions but don't push the issue" response, as it has already been said that it won't be done.jixor wrote:Damn mate, I wasn't complaining, I was asking a question!Raichase wrote:As Oskar already said, thats too much work, and not needed. The horse and mouth metaphor was a good one, but only if you don't take it personally.
As am I.I'm loving the rail over rail tunnel feature, I used it extensively when playing yesterday.
No hard feelings, I'm just trying to nip it in the bud, we've had problems with people suggesting things over and over again after a dev has said it's not going to happen
