[NL] 'De Randstad'

Post by X_stream »

Hi,

I'm a new user of this forums, I used to come here often, but never registerd, but now I have created a senario whitch I wanted to share, just to give you guy's something back ;)

Its the 'de randstad' area in the Netherlands, it includes citys like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht and Almere.

Have fun!

(I think you might need te Dutch (NL) trainset for this senario to work..)

Edit:

I somehow wasn't able to attach the files, so I uploaded them myselve..

The senario: http://home.planet.nl/~brou2046/randstad.SC5
(Use 'save target as'..)

Randstad

I was waiting for this.. Only question: why all the hills? I live 5 meters under the sea level.. I know this is not possible in Locomotion, but level 0 is possible for "polders", and level 5 meters for other areas. Then you could set dikes and dunes to 10 to 50 meters.

This is the landscape genarated out of a satalite photograph of the area I mannaged to get hold of, I know the land heights do not match yet.
I might do a new version, and try to manually add the 'polders', dikes and rivers, but it will be a lot of work, so you woundn't want to wait for it, just try this version ;)

It was possible to make proper dikes in TTD - remember the 'Damn!!!' level, where the most heavily populated island was entirely below sea level? It was fun to knock a little hole in the dike with the bulldozer and then try and maintain transportation as the water slowly overwhelmed the island.

That's because the newest version of the dutch train set deleted one train that is in the senario..

http://home.planet.nl/~brou2046/treinen.zip

Here's the old version of the set, don't overwrite files, just ad the one's your missing, than you'll have all trains, and it should be possible to play the senario.

Just use locotool, you can add or delete trains from the game, don't know if it works with scenario's but it works with savegames, or just download the latest version of the dutchtrain-set (link below my signature ;))

Why? You've to use "Save target as" (in Dutch: Doel opslaan als...) and then you can download it! I did it, just 1 minute ago... No problem here!

No the page doesn't exist anymore, so no download.
I think it's not online all the time.
If you have it then post it here again.

Well... it misses some vegetation...

And as inhabitant of Noordwijk, I really think you should size up Noordwijk aan Zee and rename it Noordwijk ;)
