A decent steam train costs 30.000 euros/year to run (1940's), while later on there are (good, powerfull) trains that run with 5000-10000 euros/year. Some are even "new steam trains". Why does this happen?
edit: the "new steam trains" appear to be electric trains with steam train icons
ukrs train running costs very high in early days, low later?

Ukrs is United Kingdom Renewal Set(the very reason it's posted in graphics), not plain ottd. I think i understand one thing now, steam and diesel is expensive and electric cheaper which would make sense in ttd-patch (electric rails being expensive). I'm running 0.4.5. The BR 103 train has an icon resembling a steam train, it is labeled electric.
