If you mean another type of DVT other than these mentioned, please explain, how it will be used etc, since I am not quite sure about what use this DVT will have, and how it will look.
The game comes with a DVT type vehicle in the EW passenger group (i cant remember its full name, but it has a red cab).
The mkII mod has a DBSO which is the finest mod for locomotion available.
The IC225 has the mkIV DVT.
I am trying to turn the 2-EPB into a GLV to run (under) 100mph.
Anything else i am unsure about, actually, i dont even know if that GLV will appear which is a shame.
I Think He Means When Intercity Converted Some Class 43's (HST) Into Temporary DVT's In The 80's When They Were Short On DVT's Or Somthing.
Following authorisation for electrification of the East Coast Main Line (ECML) a new fleet of Intercity 225s were ordered. However, it soon became apparent that the locomotives would be delivered before the coaching stock and Driving Van Trailers.
An interim solution was sought by the conversion of a small fleet of Power Cars to act as temporary DVTs. The project was masterminded by the Railway Technical Centre at Derby and during Autumn 1987 43 123 and 43 014 were selected for conversion. The major noticeable alteration to the Power Cars was the fitting of conventional drawgear at the driving end but major internal work was also carried out. This resulted in a large electrical cubicle being placed in the former guards area and smaller differences such as Time Division Multiplex jumper cables at the non-driving end and the addition of an eight light indicator box just above the speedo.
Testing began on the West Coast Main Line in October 1987. Following trials a further 6 conversions were authorised and 43 013/ 065/ 067/ 068/ 080/ 084 were duly converted at Stratford Depot in London.
ECML service began on Kings Cross - Peterborough commuter services in July 1988 acting as DVT with the class 89 providing power. From March 1989 they were fully deployed with class 91s on Kings Cross - Leeds services. Shortly after this introduction, authorisation was given for the Power Car to provide traction power in tandem with the electric loco under full TDM control. Needless to say performance was phenomenal! Operation was however shortlived as more MK4 coaches and DVTs were delivered. The Power Cars subsequently had the TDM equipment removed (although the buffers and control cubicles remain in situ) and were transferred to work Cross Country trains allocated to Edinburgh Craigentinny Depot. After privatisation the 8 Power Cars became the property of Porterbrook Leasing. 43 065/067/068/080/084/123 are currently part of Virgin’s West Coast/Pioneer fleet based at Laira Depot Plymouth whilst 43 013/014 are off-lease at Neville Hill awaiting transfer to Serco for the operation of High Speed Test Trains. - 11 November
Yes but i have managed to convert it to have the ability to pull a train made up of different coaching stock, only it doesnt have wheels and drags along in the ballast.
As soon as thats sorted i'd have been ok, but no matter what i do it doesnt seem to make a difference!
well i know that there is a dvt on the BR set but i was just wondering for loco. so it looks like it's off the game itself, y'know what i mean.
EDIT (few minutes after posting this)
tell ya what... i'll have a bash at it and if i can do it and it's working and all you think it's good then i'll post it or something. just an idea.
i have got the 90 dvt on my pc... but i've got a lot on to allow me to release....
it will come...

well... i've just done the loco. styled DVT now... well a few hours ago had to get off, but yeah.... i've done the sprites, just a little problem about it but i'm working on it. and i tell you what, it looks good
That's pretty cool... up until now the only Class 43 'DVT' I'd ever seen was the dummy loco in my dad's N gauge HST set (the most unconvincing HST set ever, by the way - one loco, one Mk3 carriage, one dummy loco - bah!)
