Planeset [version 1.5.3 released 2006-10-24]
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
krtaylor: Please post the developer package and link to the tracking table to the Planeset homepage. For some reason I have a strong belief that very few willing people are going to seek for them from depths of this thread.
Grigory1: Those liveries are unusable for following reasons:
1. Your images are in 24bit colors. I want them in exactly correct pixel format which is 8bit indexed with the palette included in development package.
2. Your liveries are not based on the exact size and shape of the planes that are in Planeset. That is a must. You'll have to draw liveries over original CC sprites.
3. One-side view is of no use for us. We need all eight views.
Get the Planeset 1.0 development package for all information required. You'll have to dig this thread to find it (it's dated around the launchdate of 1.0 which occured in late August 2005).
The look of your liveries themselves is decent to say the least. Just try to adhere to the rulings above and I believe we'll soon have some nice-looking liveries.

OK, really I draw planes in the other scale because I proceed from sizes Boeing 747 (me very much it is pleasant as it is drawn), and also I want that they looked like close to real and have been recognized in game. I have sent kinds of liveries as samples, instead of for their inclusion in Planeset
DaleStan:
Unfortunately I am not able to code and would like to ask the help at the decision of some problems,
for example at me it is impossible to code that in in the given window the kind of the plane with the closed hatch was:

We have discussed this lately, this case is exactly the same as with the A380F. You will see this s*** for each and every plane in the game. Will be addressed in 1.1 in form of cargo capacity callbacks as soon as I get it done (I'm in a bit lazy mood right now so I'd be very pleased if someone started posting liveries just to give a sign that me and DaleStan are not the only people actually doing something for the setGrigory1 wrote:In the characteristic of plane Boeing 747 EUD in Planeset - the payload of 170 tons459 wrote:If you find any other anomalies, please post them here.

Yes! Please do!
But I notice there are very few liveries being drawn right now anywhere in the TTD world. Most sets have slowed or stopped. Maybe people are busy?

Oh yes, I think that would be very nice indeed to have them.

The rear wings look like the pre-edit models with rounded edges, they should be corrected as the current CC sprites are. You should try making the sprite slightly darker, the white color kinda "burns through". Otherwise just fine.

Yes, if anybody has any WAV files of more appropriate takeoff sounds or landing sounds, post them. Remember though, they need to be VERY SHORT or they'll get annoying.

For those on the sound hunt, all sounds must be 8-bit mono sound files in WAV format, PCM encoding. There are two allowed frequencies: 11025 Hz and 22050 Hz. The file size cannot exceed 64KB.

I would think if it was some other format, it would be possible to convert, though.

Sure, it's possible to convert, but it must be in that format in order for TTD to use it. I don't have the tools to do the conversion, and am hoping not to have to find them.
The effective limit is (IIRC) 2.5 seconds at 22050 Hz or 5 seconds at 11025 Hz.

It appears that it can convert *to* any format, but I was unable to get it to open anything other than WAV files.

Awesome! I really wish there were some way to get it into the main GRF file.
