Announcement -

The Planeset is finally in public release! Get it here:

http://www.as-st.com/ttd/planes

And this isn't totally off-topic, because we would like nice in-game screenshots of each plane, that we'll put on the site.

Have fun, and please report any problems.

The ones on the airport are kind of obscured. I think flying shots are better. The AN124 is OK.

I wish that if you take plane shots for krtaylor, please use the actual 1.0 instead of any beta version or 459 remix.

The Irish! Excellent! I do like your landscape, it's a far-cry from the traditional TT, with Zimmlocks buildings, Michaels trains and (Oooh, I forgot who did the grass). Well, the grass looks fantastic too!

Excellent network too!

Also, I assume the plane picture with the fancy airport in it is OTTD in origin? I wasn't gone long enough for such an airport to be in regular TT was I?

Finally - Congrats to the Planeset team, I know you guys have been going a long long time, so I bet it's good to have a proper release under your belt now! Fantastic!

Oooh, Congrats to the Planeset team. I will give it a go now as well.

Rai, the grass is the one from the JapanSet.

The Freight sheds were part of an earlier release of the PGS (Project: Generic Stations). They should be in one of the next releases there again.

The bridges are part of PikkaBirds UK renewal set. I think it is the best bridge ever, especially when used with higherbridges.

To follow up on my last screenies, I have created a map with my current rail network on, to give you a better overview.

Here you go. More screenies to follow tommorrow.

enjoy.

The Irish wrote:Branik Bridges

Further down the valley, our line has to cross the river Elbe. This is done in two long nice Iron Girder bridges. the town of Branik itself is currently only connected by the short passenger line outwards to the next village down the river. the line towards Prague is far from finished and will still take years to complete.
Nice pictures indeed, but actually, name of the river under the bridges is Moldau.

Ooh, I always thought that the river Elbe is running trough Prague. But now that you have mentioned it, I have checked out Wiki and it states the following:
Wikipedia wrote:The Vltava (Moldau in German and many other Germanic languages, Moldva in Hungarian) is the longest river in the Czech Republic, draining into the north from its source in Šumava through Český Krumlov, České Budějovice, and Prague (Praha), merging with the Elbe (Labe) at Mělník. It is 430 kilometers long and drains about 28,000 square kilometers; at their confluence the Vltava actually has more water than the Elbe, but joins the Elbe at a right angle to its flow so that it appears on maps as merely a tributary.
Thanks for mentioning it. Learned something new again. I will edit my post...

Here are some interesting pics i made! :D
(The only Photoshoping done, is croping the images)

SCR149 - A new line is being made, but tunnels must be made to save building over hills. The near by mansion, wont take kindly to the tunnel blowing!

SCR150 - As a small passenger train arrives, a slow diverted ICE3 train makes its way through the station. People complain in the town that playing football is impossible!

SCR151 - An old diesel makes its way along the step Iced cliffs, passing the new Electric ICE train. Drivers prefer the electric as there less noiser, fast, and they look nice!

Next 3:

SCR152 - A new type of aircraft was due to fly to a larger airport for a new path. however, it broke down, and the techs hadnt the experience, or the tools to fix it. So they had to improvize! Yup, it was transported by rail!

SCR153 - after a long trp by train, a ship had to carry it the rest of the way, because of busy railway main-lines. The Ship heads down its canal, slowly, but surely approaching the Larger Airport.

SCR154 - The ship finally arrives at the airport after such a long trip. It is docked next to the airport, so unloading the Jet, is a lot easier. Repairs are carried out immidiatly.
