Station won't accept wood for factories SOLVED?
There are several threads dealing with the new cargo schemes so I do not know where to put this.
It's a problem so I'm putting it here.
As usual ... if this as been reported previously, please post the link below.
The attached png says it all. (hint! compare the station window's "accepts" line to the "requires" in the building tool and the factory window.)
Newgrf.cfg has been attached as well in case the problem is there.

If this is an old game, then just buils a truckbay along the trainstation.
It will then accept the wood and steel.
If it's a newly build station then I guess it's a bug.

A scenario was built with newcargos on but with only resource industries. The factory was built in-game with the industry tool just moments before that screenshot. If you look at the lower left corner of the screenshot, you will see part of a food plant that was also built in-game but several years earlier. It works as intended (accepts fish). Both industries are outside of their respective station's catchment areas.Patchman wrote:Was the industry built before you enabled newcargos? So try rebuilding the factory, that might help.
There is a new oil refinery (what can I say ... I struck it rich!) next to the factory but I never thought to check it. I'll do so now and edit this post accordingly.
The refinery accepts oil as it should. It also says it will produce goods and petrol.
Can somebody lend me the $8,000,000 I need to blow up the factory so I can try rebuilding it?

Found a factory built by the game and it had the same problem ... station showed grain and livestock instead of wood while factory showed wood.
Ran a train load of wood into the station and sure enough, it was not accepted.
Searched for a common factor and found it ...
Born Acorn's newfactoryw.grf ...
I turned it off in the grf window and sure enough, after a tick or two, the station showed wood.
Just to be sure I turned Born Acorn's factory back on and the station reverted to grain and livestock.
Hey Born Acorn! Get over here and look at this!

Michael and Born Acorn : I like the graphics from Born Acorn's factory ... any chance DaleStan can recode it to work with Michael's set? Perhaps a second version so it would be available in original code and new code?michael blunck wrote:That´s simply an incompatibilty.
That special factory which you´re using accepts the original freight (steel, grain and livestock) whereas the modified factory from the NewCargo Set accepts steel and wood.
