Also, water and food in the desert, and food above the snow line.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

so, it is not important for the growing from which town (distance) the passangers and post arrive?
Can you say: more passangers, post and goods = faster growing?

I think one thing we have missed out are geographic factors. The town size have boundaries; it cannot expand it's population unlimitedly. Normally towns will merge together in later stage of the game, and when they do, the one in the centre will not be able to expand.
Anyway I've included a picture to illustrate the effect of passengers, mails and goods on a town. The 6 town dialogs show the growth of a town from 1958, when the train station was built, to 2047.
Note that the city growed steadily at the start, slowed down, and eventually stops with increasing number of goods accepted. Hope this helps

it's all about town growth switches .... one of my towns, Reims, was about 35, I put there bus stop, hit twice FUND NEW BUILDINGS and the game in few years is around 10k, mostly high buildings (if town had more roads would be extremly larger) but since town do not build roads automatically with townbuildnoroads on it's limited by road I built for town ...
