Be reasonable, here is a post that we should put all our ideas in - so we don't end up with countless numbers of posts to trawl through. If we have one topic then its easy to check!

Okay, i think we should maintain the original TT idea, and not get carried away with fiddly dietails (i think Ashley wanted to give planes schedules and set ticket prices and stuff a little whiel back - this is a good idea but it would be too fiddly i think)

How about - Start in 1920/30 and build up steam trains, then diesel/electric then in the future have things like monorail and maglev.

Also: Can we try and enlist Michael Blunk for help with the graphics? He would be a worthwhile addition to the team!

*Edit* How about having 3 climates, like we have now (just without the dang toyland...)

Also, what about a bridge that is more than 1 tile high, even if we can only put things going under it on the bottom tile (cause it woud be hard to have bridges on bridges on bridges!)

Right so this is the suggestions tread. I agree with everything you posted, something I would also like to see is terrain being lower than sea level, and smaller tiles than in TTD.

A surface water tool, for canals, etc. and if installed an ability to place a dock on flat land. i.e.:

So do i, very real especially at the docks. Perhaps we could have that on land too, except they are cliffs, and they provide a sort of a hazard!

If there should be cliffs then maybe it would be nice to make vertical slopes.

Yeah I liked that, could it be made possible to build rails like in rct, even though it'd be abit slow, but still It'd make underground building better.

Agree with the terrain, but the railway building suggestion.. No way.. Well, for underground - :D for above ground - :cry:

Its a bit tedious to have to that stuff above ground - i would much prefer a standard drag and drop type above ground.

things I would like to see..

sortable vehicle/station lists:... maybe sort by age,reliability, income, vehicle name, in staion list there should be a way to view all vehicles using the station
Industries list: maybe a list showing all industries (connected or not) with production.. sort by type,production,connected
a way to lock the main view to a vehicle
being able to delete a whole train with one command
cloneable vehicle commands
more realistic curves
underground stations and signals
diagonal/curved/inclined bridges and tunnels
being able to own industries and profit from them


just my $.02 worth.....

Do you mean as in RCT? Thats good what you can do with each block.

* The map shouldn't be an island like the TTD map (of course it can be if you choose so).
* Realistic slopes for trains, normal trains can't handle slopes over 3%, unless they have help from an extra cog wheel on a how do you call it, it looks like ^^^^^^ anyway, they have that in some parts of Switzerland. So there should be normal railway, electrified railway, normal railway with that special thingy, electrified railway with the special thingy and maglev (maglev's can easily handle slopes of 10%). To get trains on a much higher level without using too much space there should be (now it's getting very difficult for me to explain) things like this: Image
Also, it may be a good idea to make curves as realistic as possible, and not tighter then real trains can handle.

Station improvement
can build hotels,retaurant,storage for cargo,refregirator storage
for fish , animal products etc,switching for trains,maintenace,
engine shop,postal mail,livestock pen,mall or market place,
obviously Train company owns it and builds it ,

Types of train
can have limited,express,commuter,special,cargo,etc

Taxi
can have taxi service

Airport
can have international,domestic
Airport internationalization,having 5 to 9 runways
Domestic having 2 to 4 runways
taxi or shuttle for airport

Flight
having Charted and Scheduled

Train
can train specialty like having trains for each country or region
special train can only be seen or have in specific region or country

Train time
having Charted and Scheduled

Fares
fares can altered ,modify,

Bridge
having 2nd to 3rd level,combination of highway and train

Skyway
elevated highway and also 2nd to 3rd level

Elavated railways
like in Philipines,having elevated rails

Merger
merging or alliance ,having 1 or more transport without losing its own identity like in real life

Stock market
having stock market buying your own treasury,bonds and other stocks

Real transport war
war with service quality,fares and others

Exclusive
having bids for slots in airport ,service certain routes in trains etc

Advertising
having TV monitor and edit your own ad for cities or region

can have at sea in real life not oil rigs are in side of map

having some cargo stores and shift to station or terminal

Catchment Area
enlargement of it according to type like terminal should have 10 to 15 tiles , station 5-10 ,depot 1-4

City Growth
can have growth factor such as incread in food etc

Balance sheet
have detailed info o finances

Manufacturing Plant
have it and supply raw materials

Factory
have it and supply raw materials

Wonders of the world
can have World Trade Center,Pyramid of Egypt, Tower of London,Eiffel Tower ,Tokyo Tower
they are tourist spot,they catch many passenger etc

Power Plants
can have Solar,Hydro,Nuclear,Coal,Gas etc, can own it
