Be reasonable, here is a post that we should put all our ideas in - so we don't end up with countless numbers of posts to trawl through. If we have one topic then its easy to check!
Okay, i think we should maintain the original TT idea, and not get carried away with fiddly dietails (i think Ashley wanted to give planes schedules and set ticket prices and stuff a little whiel back - this is a good idea but it would be too fiddly i think)
How about - Start in 1920/30 and build up steam trains, then diesel/electric then in the future have things like monorail and maglev.
Also: Can we try and enlist Michael Blunk for help with the graphics? He would be a worthwhile addition to the team!
*Edit* How about having 3 climates, like we have now (just without the dang toyland...)
Also, what about a bridge that is more than 1 tile high, even if we can only put things going under it on the bottom tile (cause it woud be hard to have bridges on bridges on bridges!)

Right so this is the suggestions tread. I agree with everything you posted, something I would also like to see is terrain being lower than sea level, and smaller tiles than in TTD.

Agree with the terrain, but the railway building suggestion.. No way.. Well, for underground - for above ground -
Its a bit tedious to have to that stuff above ground - i would much prefer a standard drag and drop type above ground.

* The map shouldn't be an island like the TTD map (of course it can be if you choose so).
* Realistic slopes for trains, normal trains can't handle slopes over 3%, unless they have help from an extra cog wheel on a how do you call it, it looks like ^^^^^^ anyway, they have that in some parts of Switzerland. So there should be normal railway, electrified railway, normal railway with that special thingy, electrified railway with the special thingy and maglev (maglev's can easily handle slopes of 10%). To get trains on a much higher level without using too much space there should be (now it's getting very difficult for me to explain) things like this:
