SS0 and SS1 files
SS0 and SS1 files
Tycoon uses SS0 and SS1 files for scenarios to display as "system" scenarios
(when you select the type of game you want, then "new game") and I've worked
out trh??.ss0 files are for the desert maps, for instance. Now, there is a
trh00.ss1 file in mine, which just also happens to be the one highlighted in
blue.
Now, I thought thats the reason some were highlighted, and some weren't but
it appears not. Tycoon does *very* strange things to the scenario if you
rename a *.ss0 file to a *.ss1 file, and vice versa.
"Whats the point to all this?" I hear you sob.
Well, I'm writing a program at the mo and wanted to know if a scenario could
be "renamed" so it could sit behind the "new game" button, rather than "load
scenario".... and then I came upon the above pheneneneneomeneneon.
So, has anyone else played with this, and worked out what the difference is
between these files?! Does anyone else care?! Hmm...maybe not.

Re: SS0 and SS1 files
SS0 is just a bare map without opponents YET afaik
SS1 already has opponent
Please teach me otherwise if I'm mistaken

The primary diffrence between scenario and savegame is how ttdlx starts the
game. A savegame is just loaded and play begins. In a scenario the player
has to setup their company first.

Ok, you must be right, but it was more a joke than something else...I don't know if that could work. In a multiplayer game, if the players
load
a game, they each get their own locally saved version of the game. Sharing
