Problem with newships graphics not being able to build

First of all, as a newbie to OpenTT I would like to give my appreciation to all of the coders,developers and graphic artists who are making this game even better....

I am running OpenTT on my Windows XP Home platform and have not had any problem adding new graphics , except until now where i can see the new graphics when i get to the 'Build new Ship' window. The Build New Ship part is inactive and is cross-hatched,not allowing me to choose any of ythe new ships available.

Its probably something i've overlooked and any help from you guys would be very much appreciated.

did you happen to build a ship depot?

For getting the buy-new-vehicles window, it's better to click on a depot so the vehicles (trucks,busses,ships,trains,planes) are bought in the correct depot, and not in a randomly chosen one. (IMO)
