Are you guys really going to draw 123 odd views in paint? I take me hat off to you, and wish you the best of luck, if you pull it off, this will be the best looking set ever, plus THEY ARE AUSTRALIAN :D

when can we expect to see a finished work? 2 odd months?

personally, i think the MSTS look more realistic than paint drawings. your drawings do not have the depth that the 3D models have, and judging by your work and actual LoMo stuff, i doubt they draw them.

and doomhammer, i think you need to look at some pix of the L class, cos that is simply a B class with panto's that are extremely to large for it.

the MSTS converstions (SP?) may not be the best thing to ever grace the game, but they are far better than hand draw models, you may have the sides, but when you join them up, they look like they'll come out looking like a brick,

if this is not the class, i'd love for you to prove me wrong, i'd love to see them as a, final product.

but this is all my opinion,

oh and look at scrats work, they werent copied from MSTS and they were modeled in MAX3D i think thats wot they said, im not sure. but they are fantastic.

I would love to prove you wrong as well, lol

3d max ey, well thats one of my old questions ans, not I just need tutorial on making stuff (perferred trains  )

Its 135 pictures for just a locomotive that does nothing but turn
So if I do 10 pictures a day, it will take 13-14 days for just one train, lol.

God, I hope some-one will soon give me a link to a 3d freeware program( not trial), and also; if they could make a little tutorial for it, in making a simple train. (I will give you credit if you do  , but i wont post the simple train, that for you to do)

cheers

I tip my hat off for you m0b1u5-0n3 if you really intend to draw/reshade 135 views for each vehicle you want.

Blender, but it is as confusing as all hell. Working through their tutorials, and i still don't know what i'm doing. Probly because i gave it about 2 hours, and then went back to lomo

thanks for the support guys, i'm going to try 3DSM on Monday night, but from what i can see, drawing ti one by one is the best all-round way, IMO.

I think that I could release a loco every 2 weeks, i know this seems like a long time, but if i had more time on my hands it would be a matter of a few days, lol... on average i can re-draw a png file in about 7-10 minutes, and from scratch 20-30 minutes... so unless 3DSM proves to be a god send, things may take a while, but i'm sure everyone can handle the wait, after all, good things take their sweet a*** time, lol

hehe, this took me 10min, the side views are easiest, as all you do is flip them

It may look like a B-CLass, but its an L-Class, as B-Class have A LOT more vents on them.

(I made a die with blender, but so far, thats about it lol, took ages but
I hoping all i have to do is draw four pics for blender, put the pics on the edges, then rotate it a print-screen it, hehe)

m0b1u5-0n3, you mind if I team up with you?, I got a list of all the Diesel, electric, private diesel, and tram data for the Victorian side of things.
I can get list of other states as well.
What is the link for 3dsm download?, ill give it a go as well

The 3DSM download is here >>>> http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/D ... 15976.html - use the second mirror.

What do you mean by "team-up" we're all here as a team, nobody is competing with each other, but i'll help where i can, if you can download MTS>Lomo and any MTS aussie trains for conversion, that'd be the most helpful thing you could do

btw, you may want to ask scrat b4 you repaint his stuff, or at least credit him 8)

Yes, as in help out, + I dont have website to put the set on, lol
and this way we wont have to do each trian, as some-one else might of done it already, and so we waisted good time on something pointless

Here is my first help needed, getting the V/Line sig onto this, could you also re-post it if you can figger it out?

(yes he will be givin credit, ill just do a mass credit line, as doing it per train is just a waist of time)

don't bother about repainting that loco of scrats, you'll only be waisting your time, allthough the colours may be right, the shape is completly wrong, and AMTRAK already has a site, after all he did start this thread, i'm simply trying to keep it running. please try to find MTS downloads, even if you can only find sites... and then post the links either here or in the thread i started dedicated to converting MTS>Lomo... thanks

Thats so far the only site I could find right now, oh, and im just using scrats outside edges as a basic reference, for height and width only.

obiviusly you cannot bother to search bother searching for word "capacity", but instead want everything spoonfed to you.
if you cannot see the thing your looking on your screen, scroll down then!

<cargo num="0" capacity="200"> is the line you want to modify, quess wich value you want to modify?

Yes, you sometimes have to fix up one or two wayward pixels, but hand-drawing every single sprite? I don't think so.

I rendered my Locomotion graphics but (like "the original Locomotion artists") I had the advantage that I was working with my own models... so when they "looked crap", I could adjust the model, the textures or the lighting, rather than doing major editing of every single one of hundreds of .pngs. :)
