No, alpha 47 won't magically fix savegames. While you can use the Debugger cheat to get right of the truck station, you'll always have a station sign there that you can't get rid of. But I suppose it won't really do any harm either.

If you can, go back to an earlier savegame though.

the busstop works in basics fine here. very nice, it might even make me use busses again. however, as said it can't be build over a normal existing road. that's too bad, but not that much of a problem. nice work eis.

Oskar: I love these bus stations, they are so usefull! I have a bus running from one side of the city to the other, stopping at bus stations on the way to pick up passengers who will be loaded onto trains to be taken across the country :]. Thanks again!

To those complaining about it not building over normal road - remember, that it is a "station" - you can't built a railway station over railway track either, but nobody complains about that...

Besides, if you are using the more dynamite switch, you can buldose the road yourself, no matter where it is. If the town won't let you (because you have killed too many trees), well, the auto-bulldose won't help much there either.

How? I haven't used the busstops yet myself. You can set the bus to just collect passengers, and not to drop them off at all until you get to the train station?

(Actually, my bus makes many trips, stopping at each station and then going into a depot, but it does take the people from the last station visited to the station :))).

Actually, that kind of feature would be nice, a mid-load feature, that kept picking people up (doesn't matter if it forgets where they got on :lol:)

I already work on fixrvstation sign cheat... But make a savegame before you try todo things with debugger, I am unsure if I can fix a hacked game with debugger... (special if you build a new station at the place)

Why people don't belive me, there is no way to fix a station as enduser.

Debugger: No
Clearghost: No

Otherwise I wouldn't write a new cht, or do you think I didn't test all possible ways...
If you like you can use sv1codec but I don't think it's an enduser tool...

It's not that easy as you may think.., it's already clearing the tile without destroying landscape objects... Otherwise if you would build a station it could destroy all stuff, other stations, houses, rails...

Half roads aren't important landscape objects, so they can always be overbuild with something... (but the routine (handler) that decides this doesn't know what are you trying to build)

Works fine for me.
Some directions will not work but some does.
OK, the graphic is wron but that doesn't matter, it's an alpha ;)

Perhaps it is posible to build stops on diagonales like / and \ ???

if you build a station on

low up
low low

(3 corners down 1 up) the bus will stop at the slope (well, as i said, the graphic is wrong)

but it isn't realy a bug, its moe a feature!!

Oskar, the bus stops work fine for me the way they are.
If you should get them to work with buildonslopes or as a section of road going up/down hill, that would be great but those are not deal breakers for me. I can always terraform to accomodate a bus stop.

Well cht: fixrvstation seem to work but only when the wrong station tile is present... (aka if you haven't used cht: debugger)

I investigate some time into the buildonslopes, but there are A LOT stuff broken currently...

Hello everybody.

My first post for a postal idea :idea:
As the use of the busstop, we can have a mailstop, like a letter-box near the road.
Only truks can stop to it. Of course mailstop just accept and receive mail.

Synned, well that's maybe in long-term to od list ... it would need some effort to make bus stop accepting mail (and it would create some hybrid of bus station and lorry bay)


my question is ... what is the usage of bus station since we have bus stops ? there should be one (at least)

My approach is one bus station for intercity busses in conjunction with several bus stops for local city busses. The bus stops are scattered throughout the city and the bus station is part of a rail/air/bus station hub.

If a similar mod were implemented for mail, the cargo at the mail stop would not matter because they would only generate the cargo of the vehicles that use them ... mail trucks ... just like the current truck stations do.

SHADOW-XIII, you don't understand what I tried to explain. I know we can't make bus stop or bus station accepting mail, and of course I don't see the use of that :)

That is what I tried to explain ! Thank you Wallyweb.

So we could have bus station / bus stop and lorry bay / mail stop.
