Missing track foundations on US Stations in A43
Just a note...
The retaining walls for thr US Stations are gone when you build them on a coastline/slope - The other stations work fine.

Not all US stations affected
The missing foundations are affecting signal boxes, basic platforms and country stations.
My game is not up to the Amtrak stations yet so I can't say about those.
The Default Stations and the Industrial Stations seem to be ok as are the bus and truck and depots.
The white outline of the placement tool appears under several of the tiles for the affected stations.
If a small window is open and then you scroll around the game window, wierd things happen around those missing foundations.
Here is a screen shot:
btw ... I use E-Paint from Alchemy Mindworks ... costs a couple of buck$ but it works

Thanks Patchman ... that worked and saved about 200KB to bootPatchman wrote:Convert it to PNG (using e.g. Irfanview; ask Google) and upload that. PCX doesn't display in most browsers. Now go edit your post and delete that attachment maybe...

I loaded MB's new stations before seeing the problem so after your post I disabled the GRF and the issue remained.krtaylor wrote:There was a new version of MB's new stations uploaded

There was a new version of MB's new stations uploaded. Maybe that was supposed to have a fix that we need to also include in the US stations? But I'm not using the new version of New Stations, because it is half the size of the old one and something about that seems wrong. I'm waiting until I have an explanation for that.

Well Michael already reported this Bug aswell ...
TTDPatch dev in retirement ... Search a grf, try Grf Crawler 0.9 - now with even faster details view and new features...

So I take it that it's a real bug, not just a need to change something in those GRF files and reissue them?

If you are referring to the A43 bugs with the canals and the foundations, patchman posted new graphics on the patch site last night. I installed them and they worked. I just posted a question to the US Team re the same foundation issue with some of the US stations. Hopefully they'll have a fix so that I can get back to a game in progress.krtaylor wrote:So I take it that it's a real bug, not just a need to change something in those GRF files and reissue them?

Yes, I know those fixes, BUT a) I have a concern about the new New Stations GRF, and b) I don't know if the US Stations have the same problem or a different one. I'm hoping Patchman lets us know, or Oracle, as he did hte coding.

:?:
I know I should perhaps edit my previous post but I'm looking for help on this and I have additional information.
I changed the image in my previous post to include the stations from Aegir's site which work fine.
Affected stations are Normal, Aldershot, Basic platforms and Signal Boxes.
Update:
I redownloaded the correct files reposted by patchman.
I redownloaded and reinstalled A43 in case it got corrupted in the original download. All switches are on except for the AI, the disasters and the networking ones.
Included here:
- My grf list in the order as it appears in my file. Does something need to be moved? I clicked on Apply in both a saved game and a new game.
- A zoomed out image with an interesting observation. Compare this image to its zoomed in cousin in my previous post.
ALSO ... locomotion gui parameter set to 3 is not working with or without control/click on the RR button.
Are ther any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. Hope my posts help you with the troubleshoot. I thought the foundation reappearing in the zoom out was kind of interesting.Patchman wrote:It's almost certainly a patch bug. Don't get too worked up about it, it'll get fixed

Apparently the Silverline stations have the same problem.

I'm 95% sure that it's a bug for stations that use callback 14 - all my stations that use the callback have no foundations yet the one that doesn't use it doesn't have the problem.
