I used that site for other stuff too. It gives a good overview of when which coaches/engines were in use. And the sideviews are clear, to say the least.

Hey, guys!

We're still totally with you here. I'm just waiting for some feedback.
Here's the latest bits of information I got:
-I sent the grf to Hyronymus
-He said he sent it to Purno
-He said Purno found errors

OK, but I didn't get any feedback on those errors, I didn't receive any more sprites. Unless I missed something, everything I got is encoded.
We can handle the NSSet with the other projects simultaneously, but not without feedback, or graphics ;)

It seemed to me, the you were the ones who abandoned this project, so we moved on...

As you can see on the JapanSet project, the tool is working quite stable now. In fact there might be a prerelease this week.

Miscommunication, I love it  .

Before we even start accusing each other I offer a solution to get things sorted:
  • - Purno sends Szappy the errors he found. Purno, if any error exists in graphics you made can you provide Szappy with the proper ones then?
    - I will make time tomorrow to thoroughly test the various action 2's broodje and I made for the individual grfs again. Although I didn't find any problems the first time I will put the set to a more 'structured' review this time.
Szappy, the reason why you didn't recieve new graphics is because noone is working on them right now (correct me if I'm wrong Purno but I'm not working on anything myself). Suggest we do offer you new graphics, would it be enough to add a readme.txt with what we want the graphics to do or not to do?

Well... I might be mistaken, but I think there are more graphics, than the ones you sent me.
I think you sent me all the encoded graphics, but there are non-ecoded ones, if I'm right.

Yes, that would be perfect. Also a review of the prealpha builds (that will come).
I'd like to add that if you use NS names/abbreviations describe them too. (You remember the NSDDAR=double stock coach misunderstanding?)

[edit] Do you still need a coder, that desperately? ;)

I agree with this... AFAIK, I made far more graphics than the ones I've seen in the last email... Once I get home I'll try to find some time  to test it again an write down all errors, although Hyronymus once received them in his email box IIRC.

I hope I don't have to search for all my graphics because that would be a hell of a job...

I can't imagine I forgot to send that many graphics. I agree there are more but the majority of the 'more' are different liveries for existing trains [/me peeks at the latest Infosheet]. Maybe smart to put a list here. Ccan you tell us which grf's you still miss that should be there, Szappy?

Eek, that's scary. I'll send you the others tomorrow, with a readme and possible errors uncovered in the grf you sent us.

I tested Szappys coding again and here are the results:

NS CityPendel (2 car consist Sprinter):
  • Multiple heads automatically placed in wrong direction
  • Wrong design year
NS Spriter (3 car consist CityPendel):
  • Multiple heads automatically placed in wrong direction
  • Wrong design year
  • Company colors
  • I can't buy the new Sprinter (in new livery) in 2010
NS 1200:
  • ok in 1960
  • Wrong coaches and wrong sprite in menu in 1990
NS 1300:
  • sprite in _ view still mirrored (I mentioned that many times before)
  • Wrong coaches in 1990?
NS 2200:
  • sprites misplaced
NS 1600:
  • sprites misplaced
  • old sprites?
SNCB/NMBS 1100:
  • still that sprite error in _ view (I mentioned that many times before)
  • old sprites?
  • sprites misplaced
DH-1 Wadloper Railbus:
  • Company colors
  • Second railbus automatically placed in wrong direction
NS DD-AR:
  • No coaches / No rear end
  • Company colors
NS Buffel:
  • Sprite misplacement in / view
  • Rear lights aren't red
NS Plan E:
  • Sprite livery not refreshed in menu
_

That's all I got in the buy train window, I checked every 10 years from 1950 to 2010.

I will do a search for my latest sprites later...

  • - the error with the wrong coaches later in the game isn't a real error IMO but more a not yet defined setting. It should change to the the ICR around 1980 but I never implemented that (or asked Szappy to implement it).
    - the 1300 has never been coded with coaches so I'm not surprised it's 'wrong'
    - old sprites in the nmbs1100 and NS1300 has been mentioned time and again indeed but I only received a corrected ns1300 from you, Purno. I obviously sent the wrong file to Szappy. I never received an updated nmbs1100 however. To shorten the chain I suggest you supply Szappy yourself with the corrected graphics of the ns1300 and nmbs1100.
    - I gave Szappy carte-blanche on what to do with the alignment of trains
The other errors seem to be translation errors to me which should be easy to fix.

Szappy, your GRFmaker looks VERY impressive. I wish I had time to dive into it straight away but I fear that has to wait until the x-mas holiday. But already thanks for sharing it with me.

You know I upload all my graphics on these forums, and I did upload the new nbms1100 engine

Well, the links to the graphics are publicity available, like the graphics itself. Szappy should be able to find them now

OK, we'll try searching, and downloading the proper graphics, and correcting the errors.

As for the GRFMaker, thanks, but it's not really "mine", the main developer is gl2.
He doesn't speak english though, so I present the program on the forum.

Uhm, why you think so? The fact that it's rolling again doesn't necessairily mean we will release an alpha. I believe I said before that we decided to release a possible alpha only to fellow developers. They know what can go wrong, know how to test a set and how to give feedback.
