I sense confusion. I gave Szappy the finished or nearly finished trains that exist sofar. Other trains need more work on the graphics but could be coded already and edited later. I decided not to give those trains though because Szappy said it wouldn't be much work to add them later. When Szappy is done with coding the trains he did receive I would like to see the result sofar and see the program he uses (I thought we agreed on the first).
Assuming there are no errors, the NSset still needs much work. There are still trains waiting to be drawn and/or coded and we need to implement variables and switches to the set. You won't have to expect a public beta of the NSset before the end of 2004 (if we decide to release a public beta at all). Broodje and I are both in our final year which means we have a lot of things to deal with. Purno and Szappy have their social lifes too and I don't want them to sacrifice it for the NSset. Please stay patient!

Unfortunately I work fulltime now and don't have much spare time left. Besides that, the spare time I have, I often use for 'useless' things like my forum and chat, you can say i'm addicted to the internet

I know when I've no internet connection I still draw. Someday around the 5th of december I know I'm at my grandma's place one day, and there isn't a internet connection there. So I'll probably draw some trains. Besides that, there may be more of such days. I hope to draw some trains then. So it might be a good idea to set up a priority list. My priority goes to drawing new trains in stead of improving old trains, actually. Which trains have priority needs te be discussed, probably.

Exactly, I'm not that good in drawing steamers, this is probably the reason why my tutorials don't include any steamer

Broodje, Purno and I are all occupied by social and academic life. The near future doesn't look much different which in other words means this set won't be finished any time soon. However, many people are enthousiastic about this set (this is possibly due to the large amount of dutch people on this forum).
A possibility to get this set going, first, and then keep it going is to attract new coders. Purno is able to squize some graphical work in between his academic life which means we really need coders. Despite that I'm in my final year (as is broodje) I can probably lend a hand with some small coding stuff.

If you feel like helping code the NSset, please contact Purno or me. Either by PM, email or on IRC channel #tycoon (Quakenet).

Szappy is developing a NFO programming tool but there seem to be some problems. It might be that existing code will be rewritten for use with that program somewhere down the line.

Can I get back to the annoying part later? I don't feel annoyance yet but who knows how I feel in an hour  . No alpha planned whatsoever.

Hyronymus, broodje...

when do you guys have some time for coding something for this set? Hyronymus, could you show up on msn more often, I think I might have something to discuss.

There's hasn't been any progress for too long, IMO.

Oh btw, if any coder reads this, I think we're still looking for some coders

Strangely, I don't feel like drawing anything unless someone codes the

Ask Szappy, maybe? He's got a tool to do it, and he's doing the coding for some other sets (e.g. the Japan set).

I thought Hyronymus already asked Szappy, but he didn't receive anything or something AFAIK/IIRC

Well, it's true I haven't heard too much from Szappy in the other projects he's working on recently, but did you PM him?

I did receive something which I shared with Purno. The basic things seem to be allright, aside from some graphical oddities. But Szappy is quite busy with the NFO and sprite editing tool (forgot the proper name of the latter). And the first tool is the tool he used to compile one large grf from the independent grf's we had sofar. That's the current situation.

I'm not following this tool completely...

do we still have to code NFO's manually?

I fear so, I haven't heard from Szappy since 1,5 week. Of course we can decode the grf he made sofar, which gives us a headstart but I didn't inquire for coders for nothing.

You mean you don't have any time to code?

Even not in the Christmas Holiday (bad translation probably but I guess you know what I mean  ) ?

No, I don't think so. Someone suggested to take a traintour in that holiday which means 1 day less already. Then I fear I have some corrections to make to a report and prepare myself for my internship.
