[Request] Slopes for all bridges!
I see no reason why most kinds of of bridges are not alowed to have up and down slopes and we have to use a bridge that has an utterly low speed limit for slopes.
I'm not talking about the maglev-bridge or the slope-bridge, that allows slopes without speed limit (with a max height of 1).
I'm talking about the original ingame bridges, they ALL must have up and down slopes.
I gave my origina steel bridge, that already has curves, slopes too (by mixing with the low-speed-slope bridge).
First attrempts gave some minor gfx errors (bad gfx mixing) but no crashes at all. The AI uses them nicely and they are just like steel bridges that allow slopes.
I even demand wired bridges to allow slopes, because they must be allowed to go down or up some degrees.
Of couse they must not be allowed to have curves.
Dont blame a blocky grid for being not possible to do a bridge that is sloped for some degres.
Another BAD thing is the missing of diagonal slopes and narrower diagonal 90° curves.

Sounds good to me
Sounds good to me I get annoyed when I have 125 only going 60 up a slope.

This is already the third topic about this

<+Raichase> ugh, I just ate some of my beard D:
I disagree. Slopes are only on some bridges because it doesn't make sense otherwise. Suspension bridges obviously can't go up slopes. We need to keep a sense of realism. If your just going to give every bridge slopes and unlimited speed, it's just gunna get out of control and ruin the balance of the game.

*electrifies his entire network for less cost than one electric loco*
*builds unlimited-speed slopes by raising a column of land and runs a tunnel through it*
*loads 250 passengers onto a Concorde*
*links Dublin and Liverpool - by direct rail link*
What balance?
I think this is the least we should get, given the boggling inability to build gently sloped land for railroad tracks.

Ok, that one is a bit odd.

That costs A LOT more than a bridge!
*loads 250 passengers onto a Concorde*
The vehicles are made up. But it should be lower.

And???
My slopes may be unlimited speeds, but they have a drawback that they can only be on ground level. Just like the brick bridge is limited in speed. You need some sort of restriction. Why not just make all trains go 1000 mph, max speed round bends, etc etc. Theres little point.

Well, like I said, we should at least be able to build slopes without a 60mph speed restriction, that is plain silly. I don't want 1000mph trains, that would be unreasonable but I don't think allowing a train to go more than 60mph up or downhill is that outrageous a request.
The Dublin - Liverpool rail link makes ships all but pointless, you can just build a huge suspension bridge across the Irish Sea - that shouldn't be allowed!

You guys forgot there is a 15mph option if you want it.
