Graphics people: How did you learn?
How did you learn to make the amazing graphics you make?
I bet many people would want to. I found a cople of good and not-so-good graphic tutorials, but none considering 256 colour ones.

Alcohol is not the answer, it just makes you forget the question.

How did I learn?
I had some expert graphics who helped me a bit at the beginning (Thanks Purno)
and I kept correcting my graphics until they looked acceptable to me, although many people said they are great four revisions ago. Just remember that you can always do it better then you did it last time - because practice makes perfect.
oh, btw: Nice start - I mean great graphics for a first try.

How did we learn?: I don't think it is something that can be learned from scratch... but what you can learn, which is just the basic rule to drawing great graphics, is the rule of colour and light, you have to understand the basics of reproducing reflection and the rules of tint, a lighter colour is bolder, larger, thicker, a darker colour is softer, smaller, thinner... these things can be learned, perhaps if you're still in school you could ask for some basic asistance from an art teacher, or even better, find your head of department in Manual Arts, or even the head Graphic Teacher... these people can help you emencely. You can't really learn over the internet, but face to face with a teacher would definatly be the go.

In the beginning, when I wanted to draw a train, I took a look at DBSet and choose a engine that had the best shape, and then I recolored it. Nowadays I draw every train from scratch, like in the tutorials.
