Dark screen

Post by MartinA »

Hi,
When I launch Locomotions the screen seems to get a bit darker. When I make a screenshot and view it in photoshop it looks just fine. I don´t want to adjust my monitor because I work with photos and has calibrated the monitor for that. Has this something to do with direct X or can I change the settings somewhere?
Thanks
Martin/Stockholm

Mine does the same thing, I think it's just because the game switches into a different bunch of graphics settings - if I used to alt-tab out of Operation Flashpoint, for example, my desktop looked a bit lighter. The problem goes away when you exit, right?

Yes, exactly. This is the only app where I have this problem. Maybe it has something to do with my videocard?

That's what it sounds like. You might also wanna check your refresh rate settings as well.

Hmmm, in Flashpoint I think it was I had gamma correction in-game turned up a few notches, it's hardly life-ending so I never worried about it.

You can try this tool (I've used it with Half-Life and other games to increase brightness above normal levels).

When you're done playing and want to reset your settings, just click the reset button and everything returns to the way you had it.
