US Set available [Trains v0.87.4d released 27 April 2008]
Moderator: Graphics Moderators
The problem is that the Patch doesn't support random livery changes on-the-fly. You have two ways of doing timed livery changes: either have all newly purchased locos get the new livery, and leave the existing ones as they were, or have all the existing ones change at the same exact moment in time. We chose the latter as being closer to accurate.
Actually, the Amtrak livery spread surprisingly fast, as the existing RR companies did not want any confusion about whether they were still responsible for the services.

No, that'd be a pain. I like it the way it is.

I know that the patch won't automatically update the trains liveries gradually, I just assumed it would be as it is in the DB Set, where older trains keep older liveries until re-painted manually. Well, at least it's not a bug I guess.

Some trains do keep their old liveries, and others don't. It depends on what happened in the real world.

I think I've found a bug in the USset.
When you alway klick on "NO" when a new vehicle is developed. You will never get the new 'electric' trains.
When I was playing around in 1964 I found it hard to believe that there where no electric trains available. The first time I was offered to try a new electric train I klicked "YES", and what do you know? I suddenly had to choose from over 6 electric trains
All the other trains where never available to me, up to this point.

Thats an interesting problem, as you should have started with an electric locomotive (EL-A). Could you build electrified track before clicking on the "yes"?
Also, perhaps post your newgrf file to make sure it isn't a problem with other sets - are you using the US Set on a savegame, or in a new game?

Cornelius, where are your stations? I've seen them in your screenposts, and I have the sprites, and I know Oracle was working on coding them, but they aren't in the most recent US set release and I didn't know there was a test GRF floating around.

I downloaded the US Set (0.82) a couple of Wednesdays ago, and have been playing a good game since then with it. Wonderful work!
I did find a small graphical glitch though with a paper wagon, I'll post more about it soon if you don't already know about it (I've not got time to read through all 10 pages of this thread, I'm afraid!).
Once again, excellent work!

The paper-wagon problem doesn't ring a bell. Please post it.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the fact the steel coil car appears in the Arctic climate and carries paper...
Paper should be carried in boxcars..like it always has

Yes, that's the one. I did actually notice later (ie, after using it) that it was only listed for Goods and Steel in the readme. Anyway, it appears with a white 'block' under it in certain orientations - see attachment. But if it's not meant to appear at all, that might help explain it...

Try downloading the usset from here http://www.as-st.com/ttd/newusa/index.h ... nload.html
<+Raichase> ugh, I just ate some of my beard D:
Now I'm back from holiday, escaping from the dreaded Orkney haar (sea mist
) - I always seem to get loads of it on holidays there - I can start work on the set again.
There are several confirmed bugs, which will be fixed sometime in the next few weeks:
Woodchip gondola intermediate loading state positioning
Steel coil car in Arctic (shouldn't be)
TE/weight for articulated locos
Error with sprite 32 (maybe?)
Anything else?

Yeah I noticed that too....there's like no point to building a Berkshire as it stands; it has less horsepower, less tractive effort, less speed, and less lifetime than the Mountain, even though it comes out 7 years later. Only difference is it costs a tiny bit less to build and maintain, which isn't enough to justify using it over the Mountain.singaporekid_92 wrote:Two Buggies
