After years without playing TTD i just decided to start playing again, just to discover there's lots of news around.
I've added the latest stable patch, and the latest alpha patch, some graphics and scenarios. I haven't played much yet, but i have a few problems.
First, between every musictrack change there is a few sec. where everything stops / lags. Is there anything to do to fix this?
I've set the start year to 1921, but no scenarios seem to start in 1921. Most start in 1950, and some in 1930, 1944 and 1975. Is this because the start year is locked in scenarios, and a 1921 start is just possible in random games and scenarios set to start in 1921?
There is also a problem with the game options. Each time i start the game they are reset to default. This is quite annoying. Even if i set the options to what i want, and start a game, some of them still have to be changed when a game is started to be active. If i then save a game and load again everything seems to be ok, until i want to start a new game. Isn't it possible to save MY default game settings? Difficulty settings seems to be ok.
As i said, I've not played nuch yet. But so far it seems like the busses, or all vehicles breaks down all the time. It could be several times just on a short trip. How do i fix this?
I've attached my cfg file just in case.
Thanks for any answers.

Music problem: get dxmci.dll from the ttdpatch site (other tools)
Correct, although you can load the scenarios in the editor and change the start date
(not sure, doesn't do that here)
Change the servicing interval (make it lower) either manually or with the servint cfg setting or cht:servint. You can also use gotodepot or mandatory servicing.

Re: Some problems.
the date is written in the game file, you can edit it in Scenario Editor, but test the date with Random Game generator then it will start the date you wishInbreak wrote:I've set the start year to 1921, but no scenarios seem to start in 1921. game options are saved with the savegame so everytime you start NEW game you need to change it, RANDOM games took option settings from current TTD settings, scenarios took settings from the file (because it is saved with the file)Inbreak wrote:... what are you looking at? it's a signature!
Ok.
Music fixed. Thnx.
And start year understood. Starts in 1921 when i use random games. So it's just the scenarios that's locked then.
But to the game options. I know theese are saved with each saved game.
But in the main window, when i go changing the game options, why do i have to set theese each time i start the game? It would be better if the settings i set is stored till next time, so i don't have to set them each time i start the game.
