The only real differences between TTO and TTD Temperate:
1. 1-way signals. You don't have to use these if you don't want to, but allow for much larger networks.
2. Maglev. Can be removed by The Patch.
3. Farmland. Once you have some money, makes next to no difference.

tell me you did not say ttd is complicated, i mean, a game so easy that can be played as a cheap electric train board.... :?

 funny, wasn't it, oh my ....

ANyway, in TTD, all bridge sets are separate, so there's no reason somebody does remove the crap around mono bridges (Fink, you have done it, right?)
the only problem i can think of are superstructures, like in the wooden bridge, i mean, you casn simply remove that ugly wooden roof, but if you don't fill the gaps in the whole lot of bridges, road, etc, they will look bad...

Yes. See Dinges' graphics page.

I know. The road tiles are easy to fix, but I haven't got around to sorting the other ones yet, and so have not published the GRF.

Gurulas: Save all the pics in this topic.
Then extract both your TTD and TTO .GRF files. Replace the appropriate sprites from TTD with their equivalents from TTO. Use GW's screenies instead of the TTO sprites if you prefer.
Re-encode your TTD .GRF files.
Play.
Decode/Tweak/Encode/Repeat.

ok see.. i know this is a bot old but id give ya + & -

ttd
+
maglev
realisctic road tunnels
support for winxp and ttdpatches
seasons.

-
1950(shorter game)
ugly temperate grass
wierd monorail
bad monorail depots
lesser vehicles
bad new industry grf
wierd farm system that covers too much.
and much more...
tto will rule until sumone make the long awaited hybrid that eliminate ttd's minus and adds ttd + to tto.
first then it will rule...
ttdo is dead... it was else the hybrid i waited for

it looks like you are not informed

1950(shorter game) - can be longer with TTDPatch (eternalgame, startyear)
ugly temperate grass - can be repainted/replaced even with tto graphic using grfcodec
wierd monorail - can be turned off with TTDPatch (unifiedmaglev)
bad monorail depots - can be repainted/replaced using grfcodec
lesser vehicles - new vehicles can be add with TTDPatch
bad new industry grf - graphic can be repainted/replaced using grfcodec
wierd farm system that covers too much. - as for me it is more realistic (and only 1 of those you said isn't already added/fixed/possible)

and much more... - I doubt you will find something that cannot be changed (or already it is) with TTDPatch/grfcodec/other tool
tto will rule until sumone make the long awaited hybrid that eliminate ttd's minus and adds ttd + to tto.
there is that Hybrid, TTDPatch called, if you will use proper configuration you can change game in very many diffirent ways
first then it will rule...
I doubt but at least it will be better for you
ttdo is dead... it was else the hybrid i waited for
so do it yourself ... get TTO, grfcodec, read some tutorials how to create graphic (search the forum, there were plenty of topic about that)

ps. don't reply here until you start doing this project, otherwise don't (digging without purpose is bad) :!:

Its so annoying when you post the same thing everywhere. You made several in the OTT and OTTD forums.

Hardly anyone else prefers tto over ttd. It why this project was abandoned, and why there is no tto patch! Most people would agree that the ttd grass is better than tto. The farm system in tto is wierd, only one field and not being able to build on it.

However, Id like to try and put the jinty in, but I cannot code so I would have to replace an existing train.

oh boy, i'll code that jinty or whatever vehicle you want for your shiny ttdpacht, if you post here the 8 views, and the stats, it's piece of cake. But you shouldn't try to get everything done, work a bit yourself pleeeze!!

what do you mean?

as i said, just post a table stating name data and graphics (detailed, i mean, i don't want to look for it somewhere, just post it here) of every vehicle you want. Then coding is awful simple, and maybe you'll be a bit happier

don't you want some more "advanced" graphics for the trains?, i mean, you'll get tired of the standard steamer!, :D
thanks for the data, but tomorrow i'm goiing on holidays, so you (and other tto lovers ) will have to wait. by the way, i'll overwrite id's from toyland, does it matter?

EDIT: ey wait, ain't that jinty the same as in DB set ??, heeh
