I recently downloaded TTD and play it with the TTDDXPATCH, so far so good.
I remember from playing the game before that when I wanted to refit a ship there was a list of all the different goods being present on the map (depending on the world you're in)
This time however, i could only choose between 2 different items (goods) for one "Goods ship" and 3 items for the other.
I'm playing the game in Windows 2000.
Do you guys know what I can do about this??
Thanks[/b]

as for me new ships are better ... you will find that some of thems are for bulk cargo, some for piece cargo and some for licquid cargo .. like in real life
I couldn´t think of anyhing else to try.
I do think the ships look better but at the time I noticed the problem I had 2 goods ships at my disposal and neither of them could be transformed in f.e. a food ship.
If I will get a ship in the future (current year was 2033) (I was playing in the tropical world) I will put the line back in.
Can you tell me more about that??
The problem you have is that 2033 is off the end of the set. See, mostly there aren't any new vehicles after 2010 or so. And all the vehicles have a certain lifespan, after which they disappear from the list.
Now, the Patch has a switch "persistentvehicles" which if you turn it on, it will keep in the list any vehicles you already have. So, if you buy a ship when it's available, and some years later it is time for the ship to be discontinued and go off the list, but you still have one, it will stay on the list and you can keep buying them. But if you have played the game to 2033 and never needed the ships, and all of a sudden you decide to use them, you'll probably find they are all gone.
When did you start that game anyway? I've never played a game past 2010 or so, it gets boring by that time because I've connected everything worth connecting. So I start a new game. You know, with the Patch you can start a game in 1920, most of the sets have vehicles that early (at least trains and ships).

You started it way too late. Persistent vehicles can be turned on in the TTDXC easily enough, but it only applies to keeping vehicles available once they exist. But 2030 is way way after the vehicles have come and gone. Start your game in 1920 and play through.

I gotta say though, why would you want to start the game in 2030 when you can start it in 1920 and get all the vehicles spaced out properly over time? It's wierd.

I want to add a new monorail train (so i click on the building) and when I buy a engine it seems OK untill I try to add wagons to it, I can't make it into one train!!!
I buy a engine, it appears in top line. After that I buy some wagons (the things you put stuff in (don't know whether it's a real english word "wagon"))
anyway normally the wagon I buy appears next to the engine. In this case however the wagon appears below the engine.
So I try to drag and drop it but that doesn't work.
I don't think i'm doing something wrong here but hey, it's 2:45 am here so I could be gettin tired
