the longer wagons in the horizontal view look a lot better i think (see attachment). I'll be drawing all my new trains with longer wagons from now on!

Now there's still a problem with the AM41. If you couple 2 units together, it doesn't look right in the perspective view... Is there an other solution instead of making them one pixel shorter (would make them really out of proportion :?)? This is an important problem for the NMBS-set, because here in Belgium sometimes 3 to 4 EMU's are coupled together...

Which view do you say they look bad in? Do you mean in the depot view? 'Cause if you mean they look bad in the depot, there isn't really much you can do about it... It happens to the DB Set as well, but the train looks good when it hits the rails.

i mean the view that's displayed in "am41_ugly.png". The trainsets don't connect to each other like they should ...

Oh, I see what you mean, their faces are smushed into each other. Most likely you made the angled sprite just a little too long in that direction.

I like the work you're doing, let's hope we can see it soon available. Despite I don't know belgian trains looks like you're doing a great work!

By the way, I was scrolling through the Graphics forum and readed "barbarian set" instead of Belgian set...
Then when I began reading, I understood.

So I was just curious what would look like a train to transport Conan, swords, axes... :D

progress in the barbarian ... euh Belgian set 8) , the AM86:

this really is the weirdest looking train from the set. In Dutch it's called the "duikbril", which would be in english: "diving glasses"

Looks perfectly normal to me. Very attractive livery too. I guess the wierdness doesn't show up at the TTD scale.

The barbarian set is progressing well
It's called like that because the front window really looks like that
A pity you can't emphasize it in TTD
Well, back to work, lot's of it in the near future

My gosh but you have some VERY colorful trains there. I guess Belgians have more of a sense of style than one might expect. Well, Poirot was very dapper as I recall.

Those trains are looking really good! I don't really mind the smushing of the faces, although perhaps as Krtaylor said, by shortening the train a bit would solve the problem.

I have no idea what that means

even more colorful: the diesel railcar AM45!

It was introduced in 1955 but some of these railcars were still running 2 years ago in de Ardennen, which is the more "mountainious" (uhum) part of Belgium.

Phaaantastic! Excellent! Great! Can't wait to have them!

BTW: don't you want to draw other graphics than the Belgian/Nederlandse set? It'd be so cool if you would draw other European sets as well...
