Refitting impossible?

Post by Georg »

Maybe I'm just not capable to see the right option, but... I'm not able to refit trains (any more), which is a pity when using the new (and excellent) DB Set "XL". The button to do so just doesn't appear - with the execption of train-types with capacity (DB-Set's VT 11.5, e.g.).

I use TTDPatch 2.0.1 alpha 15, "trainrefit" is "on" off course.

See Attachment and ttdpatch.cfg for details.

This button is rather useless when the train is inside the depot. I'd rather want the refit-button.

There's nothing to refit on that train!
You need to add some wagons to the train and refit them.

Read the attachment description... Did you attach any wagons, and have you tried closing and re-opening the Train Window?

Also note that this button will only appear if there's really something to refit, and not all wagons are refittable. You must attach refittable wagons to refit the train.

Thanks for your suggestions. It didn't work either with refitable carriages - my screenshot was a bit inappropriate to illustrate that, I have to admit

But: It works now, after I downloaded "The Patch" again and replaced the files from yesterday. There seems to have been some cache-problem or me being unable to replace files properly, when I tried yesterday...?! :?

Well, anyway, it works. Thanks again for your answers.

Thats the main thing eh? :)). Glad it works for you!

On a side note, I hope you are around when the Alpine set comes out, 'cause you helped me with the Realsim Guide for the DB set... *hint*.

I would be happy to do such a thing, when the set is complete and out of testing (whilst making the DB Realism Guide, I found a couple of bugs not encountered during normal play), and if someone could help me find all the info on the various locomotives. Of course, credit would be given in the foreword. ATM I am slowly working on the trackbuilding guide, but thats a slow project, and as such I am open to doing other guides inbetween!

That, and the fact that it'll be a while till the next MB set (Alpine Set), which will be quite difficult.

You will find on my tracking pages for the various sets, that I have included reference links, not just to pictures, but also to documentation. We had to find the stats too you know. Personally, if your time permits, I think it would be better to start on the realism guide now, as it might reveal some error in my selections that is more easily fixed now while we're still working on things. I know a lot about usage and can give you some guidance. As far as Amtrak, the reference link for the TurboTrain actually has TONS more Amtrak info in there that will tell you a lot about how they operated.

OK, I read it. When the time comes let's give it its own (non-sticky) thread, and when it's finished it will become part of the distribution. Ditto for the Japan set although that's much harder (not in English.)
